for one of the first times in my entire life I woke up completely at peace my body hummed happily and my wolf silently purred at the back of my mind no thoughts were pushing to the forefront and there was nothing to worry about that is at least until Moris' voice managed to push through.

"Alpha! Alpha! Where the hell are you?"

"Mori?" I croak sleepily through pack link without opening my eyes.

"Finally where the hell are you" he growls exacerbated.

"I'm in bed calm down." I groan.

"you have been missing all night and so has Ella" he says and that snaps my thought I try to shoot out of bed in panic but find myself firmly attached to something that yelps in pain at my sudden movement.

"Shit" I say out loud rubbing my face to wake myself up to see a very naked and confused looking Ella stuck to the front of me.

"shit" I repeat in my head and pack link.

"what's wrong?" Mori croaks in horror in my mind as the thankfully still sleepy Ella seems content to sleep, every time I move I now feel the reason for the pain and as I look down I can see there is no sign of easy escape.

"We have a huge problem Mori I think I seriously fucked up," I say my mouth dry and my body confused.

"Why what's happened are you okay? Is anyone hurt?" he says and I can hear he is organizing people

"not yet." I growl

"what's going on Aiden." Mori says point-blank.

"I think I mated Ella and we are still knotted."

"you think or you know?" he says concerned.

"she has the bite and my neck is sore plus I knotted that's not a normal Haze thing," I grumble wondering why he doubted me.

"Oh shit, is she your mate?" he says not hiding the panic in his voice.

"I don't know" I reply honestly its not something I thought about but I have slept with enough people and not knotted them so clearly my wolf or hers must know something.

"well give me a link when your separated and we will have to talk to Ella properly don't make things worse for no reason," he says and I don't feel like replying I know I have not been acting like myself lately but the way he dismisses me seems to unsettle my wolf, perhaps I have been giving him too much power lately I will need to make sure I amend that when this problem is corrected, no not problem that's not the right word, issue? No that still feels wrong and even the situation seems to paint it too clinically.

"what's going on," Ella mumbles sleepily trying to wriggle and being unable to move.

"shh it's alright nothing to worry about," I say rubbing her back soothingly.

"Why do I feel full," she mumbles rubbing her eyes adorably.

"we knotted but don't worry hopefully it will go down soon," I say in my softest voice.

"knotted" she says now more alert trying to move away but realizing she can't go anywhere but before I can answer she starts to freak out.

"what the actual fuck? Get out of me! What is that! Oww did you glue me to you you freak! OWWW!" by this point I am sick of her pulling and while I sympathize with her panic she is hurting me as well as her self.

"STAY STILL" I alpha command and she stills instantly.

"Sorry, I don't like using commands but you are hurting me too, knotting is a thing that wolves do, like dogs its an instinct, like my uh... dick swells to lock in place I can't control it but I can guarantee the more you try to pull away the longer we stay locked together.

"My neck hurts too," she mumbles but thankfully stops trying to wriggle free.

"yeah I cant help with that mine is sore too we bit each other," I say before thinking.

"we what?" she says now confused but clearly not understanding the difficulty with my words.

"yeah uh I guess in the heat of the moment," I say trying to explain better.

"oh that is what my wolf is talking about," she says with a yawn looking around and getting her bearings.

"So how long are we stuck like this?" she asks trying to look at me while she talks.

"honestly I don't know I have not knotted anyone before but I believe its usually anything from an hour to 24 hours" I say recalling the memory.

"24 hours!" she gasps.

"rarely," I add rubbing the back of my head.

"so what we just lay here till we separate?" she says with a sigh.

"yeah," I say rubbing her hair away from the bite on her neck, I would be lying if I said seeing my mark on he was not giving me at least a little joy.

"what if I need to pee?" she says teasingly.

"tough," I say with a kiss to her lips which she does not try to fight and I feel her smiling into it.
