Chapter 13 "Resizing"

          I had not realized I fell asleep on the bus. Once I woke up the bus stopped at the school. I got up from my seat with Jess still tiny and in my pocket. I'm guessing she is still asleep since she has not moved at all in my pocket. I walked up to my house and inserted my key card. I tried to be quite at possible, thinking everyone is still asleep, but everyone is watching TV except the Zodiacs. 

"Where are the Zodiac's?" I asked questioningly 

"They went out to Arizona for a mission. Something like that." Paige said as his eyes are still on the TV.

"Well I got bad news." I said as tried to get Jess out of my pocket. "Jess is tiny."

"We know Leo." Joey said 

"Wait you do?" I said shockingly 

"Yeah, she's like 5 feet." Joey said as he's giggling

"NO! You didn't hear the news?" 

"What news?" Joey asked 

"Ugh...HERE!" I held Jess in my hand and put her on the coffee table.

"WHAT THE?!" Everyone said as they swarm around her.

"She's so tiny. Even her clothes shrunk with her." Xavier said. "How did she get so tiny?"

      I told them the story of what happened. With the criminal in the Dick Sanchez cosplay, how he transformed infusing himself with the diamond, how I can't hear Jess, how I, somehow, burned with my blue flames. All that.

"That's crazy! How can we resize her?" said Xavier 

Everyone went quiet not knowing what to say until Ryan spoke up, 

"Maybe I can-"

"No." Joey said not looking at Ryan. "Just no." Joey walks away to go into his room. He shuts the door in frustration.

Everyone went dead silent.

"We're going to ignore Joey. Leo, meet me at the school tomorrow morning and bring Jess with you." Ryan said as he walks away to go into his room. 

      Everyone soon went to their rooms. I left Jess on the coffee table as she falls asleep. Once the sun rose I got changed and headed out the door. Since it is a Saturday everyone is sleeping in. I walked outside to see Ryan standing at the front door. He nods at me as I put the key card in the school door opening the doors. He walks me to the chemistry lab and he puts on a lab coat and goggles. He throws me a pair of goggles and I put them on.

"Are you sure about this?" I said worryingly

Ryan went quite as he brings out some chemicals, a Bunsen burner, and a beaker. "Yeah." 

I put Jess on the table and Ryan is carefully trying to make sure he gets the very little amount as possible with the chemicals. He uses tweezers to get some cotton off of a cotton ball and puts it into the boiling beaker. I tried to give him enough space for him to do his work. 

"Q-tip." Ryan said as he stretches his hand out to me. 

I gave him a q-tip and he rubs it on Jess' face from what I can get he tried to get some of Jess' DNA off of her. 

         Ryan has bad memories from when it comes to science. Let me tell you a story, Ryan has an amazing IQ when  it comes to science. Like over 220. He was chosen to come into a highly respected lab with people that are highly educated when he was in 7th grade. Famous scientists from around the world came to this lab. It was in England. Key word is 'was'. Ryan was trying to find a more suitable energy source to stop fossil fuels from being burned. Sadly for him, he missed calculated. Ryan put the wrong amount of Berkelium into the mix and caused an explosion. He was badly damaged from the blast and luckily survived but the other scientist were not so lucky. The scientist were turned into radioactive zombies. Not soon after special forces came busting through a non existing entrance and shot up the zombie scientists. Killing everyone leaving Ryan alive. Ryan was stuck in England. The government wanted to make sure he was not infected from the blast. After 3 years of tests and examinations, he was sent back to the US. He has flashbacks about the blast still thinking it was his fault and killing over 20 people. Joey was scared for his life about Ryan, not hearing a thing from him since Ryan was quarantine. After Ryan came back Joey was the first to come to him making sure he was okay. Ryan does not want to be a scientist as a career option but when it comes to his friends, he'll help out with anything. England is still under quarantine after 4 years following the indecent. It's almost a mystery as to when they'll be open to the pubic. 

      I heard fizzing from the beaker and I saw Ryan with a happy face on. I'm guessing he got the chemical formula to work. He quickly put the chemical on Jess. 

"What are you doing!" I said angrily 

"Trust me idiot." said Ryan 

Me and Ryan backed up from the table and Jess grew back to her normal size. Jess looked around and was touching her arm making sure she was not in a dream.

"Thanks you guys." Jess said as she looked at us. 

"No problem." Ryan said 

      We walked back to the house and I saw Sarah and Paige making dinner for everyone. 

"What ya making?" I asked

"We are having homemade 4 cheese pizza." Sarah said as she rolls the dough.

"Oh wow good luck with that." I said as I sat next to Xavier putting my arm around her as she lays down on my shoulder. 

"DINNER!!!" Paige said and we all swarmed to the table trying to get a pizza slice.  Three pizza's later we headed to bed. I laid down in my bed covering myself with the blankets. Once I closed my eyes I had a dream. It was me in a dark room with demonic chanting in the background. I saw Xavier and I rushed towards her. Suddenly she gets sucked below the ground and the whole room was filled with color. I heard slamming on the door and I try to stay back. My breathing is getting heavy, sweat being pour down my face, I can't think straight. Suddenly the door busts open and someone ran at me with a knife......
