I could understand why they would give us an early break since we were the ones who caused it, you know, flooding the whole school? It was for the greater good for the most part. Bad news is that all of the houses have no water. So no one can take a shower, drink, or cook. So the school made the idea to send all the students to a shower house. It's more work to get everyone there but at least we are not bathing in lemonade.
Simon is taking this harder than it needs to be. He keeps on fake crying like a little toddler. He blames me for this, like he always do. It's his fault for doing this. I swear he does not think his actions through. He always goes back and forth, from his room and to the kitchen. He cries in his room, meanwhile it's just loud fake whining, and gets out of his room to go to the kitchen to get some tap water from the faucet. No water comes out, as one can suspect, and he goes to the couch and curls himself into a ball looking for attention while doing more fake crying. Looks like he's not getting his Christmas present. OH! Speaking of which it's almost Christmas!
Ah Christmas, a day when everyone can just join together and forget their troubles. I have get everyone here a Christmas present, including Simon. I sneak out of the house into the freezing cold and make my way into the mall. I have my phone with me to exchange some of my codo-coins for gifts my friends would like. I try to find a store any of my friends would like and I stumbled upon a Hot Topic, lucky me I guess. I make my inside and try try to find something. I know Terri and Simon both like Hot Topic.
I had a gift idea for Simon. I wanted to give him a tee-shirt with the Femboy Hooters Logo, but the school ban any merchandise associated with Femboy Hooters. I try to look for a POP figure for Simon. I know he likes this gay looking vampire that is gender bent version of a cartoon character from a show called Adventure Hour. I heard the figure is super rare and can not be found in stores. On the school's Amazon it sells for over seven million codo-coins! I don't have that kind of money!
I continue my search through the POP figure section of Hot Topic and found the gay vampire from Adventure Hour! I grab the POP figure but to my surprise a girl's hand goes on top of my hand touching the POP figure. Look over to this bitch to the right of me and it's Jess!
"What the hell?! Jess?! What the f-f-f-fuuuuu...?" I said trying to wrap my head around this situation.
"Oh sorry! I woke up from my coma two days ago and I wanted this to be a surprise." Said Jess looking embarrassed.
That sounds suspicious. "Say are you hungry for lunch? I could treat you to some Panda Express here at the mall." I said to Jess.
"Oh sure!" says Jess.
After I bought that POP figure for Simon and a Invader KIM sweat-shirt for Terri, Jess and I walk over to the food court where we got our order and sat down. I want to get information out of Jess. I want to ask her about that incident in the Capri Sun vault, but how?
"Hey Jess do you have healing powers?" I said like an idiot.
"HM?!" Said Jess while she was drinking her soda. "Well I um...I guess I can't keep it a secret anymore ha ha ha...." Jess said in a nervous laughter. "Well you got me. I'm a god."
"You're a what now?" I said to Jess while raising an eyebrow.
"Well a descendent of a god actually. I am the God of Wishes."
"So you grant people's wishes?"
"Only if the wishes are not selfish like "I wish for a new car!" or "I wish I can do good on my math test." Stuff like that."
"But back in the Capri Sun vault when Margret was gonna shoot me, I said my wish in my head."
"I can sense people's wishes in their minds. You can say it's like mind reading but to some degree."
"So you gave me life again?"
"Nope! I gave you the power of surviving near death experiences."
"You can give people SUPER POWERS as well?!"
"Keep your voice down shhhh. I only give people super powers if I have a close bond with them, but they need to wish something similar to a power I can give them."
"Awww thanks Jess. I should mention this but Joey does know about me coming back to life again so you should tell him about the whole God of Wishes thing. Anyway I have to go Christmas shopping for Ryan and Joey. Wanna come?"
"Sure! I wanted to buy everyone a gift as well."
Jess and I continue our walk in the mall in search of good presents to give to our friends. After an hour of walking I got Ryan, Joey, and secretly Jess gifts for Christmas. We walk back to the house and I open the door for Jess to make her grand entrance. Everyone was freaking out about her return. Jess brings Joey to kitchen to what I hope she's telling him about her being a god and whatnot. I noticed that Ryan is not here. Not only that Hanukkah is tomorrow and then Christmas Eve. I walk over to Ryan's room and knock on his door. Surprisingly it was unlock.
"Hey Ryan is everything okay? You haven't gone out of your room. Are you okay?" I said to him while standing outside his room.
"Just leave me alone, Alex." Ryan said under his blanket.
"Are you sick or something? I could make you some soup if you want."
"It's not that...Just leave me alone."
"I feel bad."
"You shouldn't. This week is not something for you to feel bad about."
"What happened on this week? You could tell me if you want. I could try to make you feel better."
"...Then close the door and come on in...I'll tell ya why I hate this week."
I close the door behind me and walk into Ryan's room. He starts talking,
"8 years ago before I started the Apocalypse in the UK I was just a normal genius. I did fun science tricks to impress my family. My younger sister was mostly my assistant during my shows. Until one day everything changed. Me and my sister went out to our elementary school to do a street performance. It was going well until three shady men came. They promise to watch my show but when I turned my back towards them to get more supplies from my wagon...they kidnapped my sister and drove off. I tried to run after them screaming "GIVE HER BACK!" but to no avail. When I got home I told my family everything and they were devastated. For the past seven years they tried to search for her. The police stopped searching and the case was officially put to rest. The adults who were supposed to help us completely gave up. My parents are still searching for her too this day. But every time they do, they always end up at square one."
I have no words to help Ryan. I do not know what to say...I was completely quiet and left Ryan's room for him to be in darkness. I'm a terrible friend....
