"Turn right," I order Baron.

It's been a few days since Lauren's funeral, and those days have certainly not been good to me. Since my sister and Baron were the ones to drive me to the building I bought, I asked if they could drive me to an ally's house. I told them that I was going to discuss with him the deaths of Finn and his fūcking păthetic gang. They think that they're taking me to another gang leader's house, but in reality, I'm making them drive me to a bar. I know that Lauren would be very disappointed in me, but I need and want a few hours where I don't remember that she's no longer with us.

Baron might give me a look when he sees where he's taken me, Jess will definitely say something, well, more like yell something. I can handle her, we've been through this before. I'll probably be in the bar sooner than I was last time, now that Baron is here to hold his crazy girlfriend back.

He sends me a look, like I thought he would, through the rear view mirror when we drive into the bar's small parking lot. Jess doesn't seem to notice where we are since she's been looking down at her phone for the past ten minutes. Please don't look up, please make my life a lot easier.

"I'll see the two of you tomorrow," I state as I open my car door.

I groan in frustration when Jess looks up at the sound of my voice. She frowns when she realizes that we're not at someone's house, and what I'm about to do. Her head swings in my direction, and she glares at me. "How fūcking stūpid are you? I know that you miss her, we all do, but getting drunk isn't the solution. You don't see the rest of us going to bars, do you?"

I frown. "You have Baron to take your pain away, the only thing I have is booz."

"You have us." I only laugh. She goes back to her phone angrily. "Fine, get out."

I grumble, but leave anyway. I take a seat on one of the stools, and hear someone approach me from the other side of the counter. The man who's usually here asks me, "The usual, Monroe?"

I nod, not bothering to spare him a glance. A few minutes later, a fat, short glass is placed in front of me, but is taken away by someone else when I reach for it.

"That's his first one," the man says.

"I know, but I know him, and he shouldn't be drinking," the woman who took away my alcohol argues. My eyes widen at the sound of her voice. Someone that I thought that I would never see again, yet here we are. Actually, she's someone that I never thought would work at a place like this. I look at her, and she smiles at me. The man takes this as a signal, and leaves us to serve another customer. "We may not have known each other for that long, but I remember you telling me that you would only drink if something really bad happened in your life. So, what happened?"

I was a good man to her. Besides the whole using her thing, I treated her like a good boyfriend should, but now, she's pīssing me off. So why should I not be an asshøle to her now?

"How is it any of your business?" I growl. She begins to ask a whole bunch of questions, trying to figure out why I'm trying to get drūnk. I quickly get frustrated, and warn her, "That's enough, Claire."

"Did Lauren leave you?"

That's when I snap, because she's awfully close, and she asks it with slight amusement in her eyes. She thinks this is funny.
