Jace gave up on trying to convince us to leave a few days ago. I thought that he would be angry with us, but it's almost the opposite. He treats us like he used to when we're here, but when we're outside of the house, he makes at least one of his men go with us. Jace said that he would prefer if Jess, and I leave, but this way he likes much better --- if we're still alive at the end of this.
I know that the two of them will never admit it, but Jess, and Jace actually enjoy each other's company. There have been a few nights where Jace has let his sister sleep over. I assume it's because he knows how she feels, going to an empty home after a couple of years of having someone in your bed. Even though I was the one who broke Jace's heart, I admit, it still hurt to go to bed without him by my side like he was the several months before.
We did argue quite a bit, but we did have good times with each other. He took me out of Province along with Jess, Cooper, and a few others whom I didn't know too well. I loved the way they looked at me, like I was a part of their family. I loved the way that he looked at me, like I was the only one in the entire world that mattered. He made me feel like that sometimes. One of the things that I loved about him was that he was patient with me when we were doing... sęxual things. He wasn't like Finn at all. He asked if he could kiss me, he asked if I was ready for him. Whenever I told him that we were going too fast, he would immediately stop.
I can tell that he has changed. He loses his patience, and temper very quickly now especially with his new recruits, and Jess when she won't leave him, or won't stop annoying him. I try not to get him angry, but every so often, I do.
"Have you chosen your dress for the gala tonight?" Jess asks me as she helps me with the dishes from this morning. "I picked them out myself."
I frown. "What dresses, and what galla?"
She pauses, and looks at me, looking as confused as I am. "Jace hasn't told you?"
I shake my head, and she sighs in frustration. I'm not sure why she does, this isn't the first time that Jace has kept something from someone. Or to be more specific, this isn't the first time where he's kept something from me. Jess calls her brother into the room, and it's only then when he informs me of the gala. He sends Jess a look. "Are you happy now?"
She nods, a mocking smile on her face. They love each other, but they will go out of their way to be a pain in the ąss to the other one. Logan, and I used to be like that. It's too bad that there's a high chance that he won't live too long after Jace wins.

I don't remember the last time where I was looking like this. Since the event has a black, and white theme, the dress that I chose from Jess' selection is a long, silk black dress with two inch straps. It's fairly plain except for the flower, and vine patterns that outline the deep v - neck of the beautiful dress. The one thing that I don't like about the outfit are the high heels. I have a lot of trouble walking in shoes that have heels higher than one inch, but Jace assured me that he wouldn't let me fall.
"You look absolutely stunning," Jess states, admiring me with a smile. "Now, get out --- you're going to be late."
Jess quickly pushes me out of the house that she doesn't live in as soon as I'm finished getting ready, stating that Jace is waiting for me in his car. I don't think Jace saw me walk up to his car because he jumps slightly, and looks up from his phone as I take a seat in the passenger seat. He eyes scan across my body, his eyes getting wider, and darker. I also take the time to admire the extremely handsome man sitting beside me. His gelled back hair, and clothing choice makes him look quite good looking, and more... serious. His black dress shoes match with his belt perfectly, his black dress pants are flawlessly ironed, his white dress shirt is buttoned up to his bent down collar, and his professional - looking, black blazer ties it all together.
