They had just finished talking about the farm and all of the trauma it brought the two. They shed a few tears, but no grudges were held.

"Now is there anything else we need to talk about?" The therapist asks calmly.

Betty gulps, Alice furrows her eyebrows at the sudden change it Betty's expression.

"Betty?" Alice questions worriedly.

"My mom is dating my boyfriend's father" she lets out shutting her eyes tightly.

Alice's mouth gapes open. She hasn't expected Betty to be having such a hard time with it, to have to tell the therapist. The woman looks at Alice with the most judging look which Alice notices. Of course, now the therapist thinks that she's a terrible mother.

"Is that true Alice?" The therapist asks with a hint of discuss in her tone.

Alice takes a breath before turning to Betty. She grabs her hands, ignoring the question completely.

"Betty, I'm-I'm sorry. I truly am, I didn't plan this to hurt either of you. Us being together, doesn't ruin it for you two! Sure it's weird but it will just take some getting used to." She states calmly.

"But mom, I just can't." She replies taking her hands of of her mother's and placing her face in them with a frustrated sigh.

"Betty, I love him. God, I love him. He's- he's it for me. I-I-I have never felt more happy, more loved than whenever I'm with FP. I'm sorry but I just-I just can't let him, let me go again it-it hurts too much." She turns away from her daughter, desperately trying to hide the tears that were slowly streaming down her face.

Betty already knew by how many times her mother's voice broke during her little speech, that she couldn't take away her mother's happiness.

"No mom, I'm sorry it's okay." She says scooting closer and grabbing her into a hug which she gladly accepts.

"Betty can I speak with your mother alone please?" The therapist asks with a slight smile.

Betty nods and gives her mother's shoulders a light squeeze before leaving the room. Alice didn't know what to expect from the woman.

"I think you should come in here with FP tomorrow." She states plainly, writing something down in her notebook.

"Oh-0h no no, we're fine." Alice says truly.

"You maybe are physically and emotionally, but not mentally." Alice frowns at that.

"You're scared he'll leave you again, aren't you?"

Alice gulps as tears start to surface. She looks to the ground, poking her tongue into the inside of her cheek hoping to stop the tears. She let's her emotions win the battle and eventually looks up at her again.

"Yeah. Yes I am, how could I not be? He turned me away three times." She says wiping tears that kept streaming down her face.

The therapist nods with a sad smile. "Come in tomorrow okay?"

Alice gives her a small nod. She was scared. Scared that if she brought it up with FP, he'd be mad at her.

She was finishing up the dishes, the therapy session still weighing heavily on her mind. Two arms suddenly snake around her waist and she immediately knows who it is. She smiles as he places a trail of kisses down her neck.

"Hey beautiful"

"Hey handsome" she giggles.

"How did the therapy session go?" He asks and suddenly feels her tense up.

She turns around in his arms and puts her hands on his shoulders which makes him frown. Did something happen?

"Well I-um- the therapist wanted you-you-and I to come in tomorrow." She says nervously, looking at his shoulder instead of meeting his worried filled eyes.

"Why?" He questions, noticing her weird behaviour.

"For-for the kids." She lies.

He knows she's lying, and that something is up. He doesn't want to push her so instead he pulls her into an embrace and places a soft kiss on the top of her head.

"Okay we'll go then."

She softly smiles-fake smiles- and turns around to finish the dishes.

"I'm going to go take a shower!" He announces as he walks towards the stairs.

When he doesn't get a response he looks back at her to see her reflection in the window. She was softly crying, and it broke his heart.

"Al- come on what's wrong." He asks softly walking towards her placing his hand on the small of her back.

"We'll talk about it later FP, okay? Just go take a shower." She replies wiping her tears.

He sighs. He places a soft kiss on her temple. "I love you."

"I love you too." She says which makes him know that everything would be just fine.

"Goodnight Al" he kisses her cheek as she cuddles up closer to him.

"Goodnight FP." He wraps his arms around her more securely.

He starts to drift off, taking in the sent of her shampoo. But Alice was wide awake, thoughts- terrible thoughts filling her head. She turned around so she was facing him, seeing him sleep so peacefully made her so calm. She stroked his cheek, hoping that everything was going to be okay.

He caught her hand in his and her breath got caught in her throat. She didn't expect him to still be awake.

"You wanna tell me what's going on Al?" He asks calmly kissing her knuckles.

She sighs. "Tomorrow FP, tomorrow."

"You know I love you right?" He asks, making sure she truly knew. He knew she needed to be reassured sometimes.

She smiles. " I do, and I love you, don't forget that."

He kisses her softly, and they both drift off to sleep.
