"Who are you interviewing again?" FP asks Alice, as they get dressed.
"Rose Smith, she's a daycare worker and we're doing a piece on strong women." Alice scoffed. "No offence to the daycare worker, but I was an FBI informant and I survived the black hood. I think I should be an option."
"Babe, you're the interviewer, they had to find someone else." FP smiled.
"Yeah, well they could've found someone who's job isn't to just run around with kids all day."
"Hey, you know it's hard." FP reasons with her.
"Yeah, whatever. It'll be fine, and I'll be nice." She raises an eyebrow.
"Promise me that you'll be nice." He holds out his pinky and she cracks a smile.
"Promise." She attaches her pinky with his, before he pulls her into a sweet kiss.
"Just for the record, you're the strongest woman I know." He mumbles against her lips.
"I love you." She whispers.
"I love you too." He smiles.
—
"So Rose, what do you think makes you a strong woman?" Alice picks up her pen, ready to scribble down whatever this woman had to say.
"Well, I run a daycare all by myself. I take care of about ten kids a day, all alone. And I'm sure you know how hard it is to be a mother."
"You have your own kids too?" Alice's eyebrows raise.
"Yep, my pride and joy." Rose smiles.
"You and your husband must be so happy."
"Oh no, I'm not married."
"Oh, so Smith is your maiden name too?"
"Yep, daughter of Vanessa and Russel Smith." Rose proudly announced.
Alice's heart stopped. She looked at the woman in front of her with wide eyes.
Rose Smith, was her sister.
Russel Smith, was her father.
"You-you, tell me about your family." Alice clenched her jaw. What was she doing?
"Is this apart of the article?" She laughed.
"Yes, yeah. We-Uh- it's- yeah." Alice muttered.
"Okay, well, I grew up in a beautiful house here on the Northside. My sister-"
"You have a sister?" Alice breathed out.
"Yeah... is that an issue?" Rose raised an eyebrow.
"No, not at all." She clears her throat, scribbling down everything so she didn't seem suspicious.
"Okay, so my sister went to Harvard, she's the smart one in the family. And my parents were just incredibly proud, especially my father, he was just over the moon."
Alice gulped, her hand scribbling down every word as her eyes stayed fixated on her little sister.
"Then there's me, I got pregnant when I was seventeen, and both of my parents were so supportive and helped me through everything. They were right by my side the entire nine months."
