I'm currently on vacation right now but I wanted to write something for New Years so here it is! It is extremely short and I apologize, but happy 2020 guys, thanks for reading my stories xoxo

Everyone was gathering around the tv watching as the ball was soon going to drop. Alice and FP had decided to throw a little party and invited a few of their friends over and let their kids decide who they wanted over.
It was a beautiful night filled with laughter and happiness. No one quite understood how they've all come this far in the matter of a year. They also didn't understand how they got here.
Alice excused herself from the conversation she was having to refill her cup. She had been acting strangely all night, and it wasn't going unnoticed by anyone, especially FP.
He saw her sneak off into the kitchen and surprised her by wrapping his arms around her from behind and kissing her neck. She hums out a sound of pleasure before a smile appears on her face.
"What's happening in here?" He asks still holding onto her tightly.
"Just refilling my cup, Fp." She says bluntly.
He sighs and carefully turns her around.
"Can you tell me what's going on in that pretty little head of yours?"
"Nothing bad honey, I promise." She gives him a soft smile as she wraps her arms around his neck.
"Then can you tell me?"
"I'm just so happy. I'm so happy. I've got you and my kids. A great job, an amazing house. And with everything that has happened the past year with Hal being the black hood, the farm, griffons and gargoyles and Gladys coming back I just- I- I'm just scared that my happiness won't last next year because as you can see, it never does." She lets out with a shaky breath as she held her tears back.
"Honey, I'm not going anywheres. Nothing and no one can tear us apart ever again." He reassures her rubbing her sides.
"But if Gladys-"
"She can't do anything. She is Jughead and Jellybean's mother and that's it. I don't love her and I don't want her." He stops her before she could continue.
"Hal is gone. He can't hurt you or anyone anymore. He was a monster and I'm so sorry you had to go through that."
She breathes in sharply at the mention of her ex husband. A tear escapes her eye but she's quick to wipe it away.
"The farm is over. You and Charles did it, you took that son of a bitch down. They can't get anyone ever again." He tells her caressing her cheek.
"I shot him." She breathes out.
"You had to do it, he would've shot you Al. It's okay." He tells her genuinely.
"And griffins and gargoyles is over, I promise. We put an end to that once we found out Penelope was behind it all. It won't ever come back." He reassures her again and she nods.
"I know this year has been pretty hard for you, but look at where you are now. You got Polly getting treated, Betty is doing great in school and is going to college soon, Charles works for the FBI and is back into our lives. You took down a cult, you are the head of your job and you are financially doing great." He smiles at her, hoping he had given her some hope.
"And I finally got you." She flashes him a smile which he gladly returns.
"Atleast we're ending this year pretty damn good." He pulls her closer.
"Yeah, we are." She beams.
He leans in and brushes a soft kiss against her lips.
"Thank you, FP. You're a perfect man, and I'm so lucky to have you." She shyly admits.
He smiles at her choice of words.
"You're my perfect woman too Al, I'm always here when you need me. I love you so much."
He leans in for another kiss, but a passionate one. She deepens the kiss and pulls him impossibly closer. They finally break apart to catch their breathes, putting their foreheads against each other's.
"And I love you FP." She whispers.
"The ball is about to drop everybody!!" Betty calls from the living room.
The two adults smile and make their way back to join the party. Big smiles plastered on their faces as they walk hand in hand."

"Happy new year!!!" Every one exclaims with smiles across their faces.
FP and Alice look at each other with goofy grins and more love than either thought possible.
"Happy new year Al"
"Happy new year Jonsey"
They then share a slow, tender kiss to start off their year right.
