This idea came to me last night while I was thinking what I wanted to do for the second part of "another one comes along." I swear I'll be posting the second part to that one shot next. I just had more of a desire to write this one first... I hope you enjoy. Xoxo

Alice was beaming as she talked into a little microphone staring at the camera pointed at her.

She was covering the game show at Riverdale for her station, and that's what she did.

"I'm Alice Smith, and we'll be right back." She smiles before the camera guy yells cut.

FP stands at the back of the room proudly looking at her. She was so cute in her little yellow blazer.

She notices him and smiles. She wasn't aloud to leave her spot since they were going to be back any minute to showcase the game show.

She winked at him before blowing him a sweet kiss which he smiled at. He shakes his head fondly watching her before a voice he knows to well interiors his thoughts.

"FP." His father stands beside him.

"Dad?" FP turns slowly towards the man who stood there casually.

"We need to talk, now." Fortsythe grunts before he leaves the room expecting his son to follow him, witch he does.

Alice's stomach drops as she watches FP leave the room with his abusive-drunken father. She gulps before the camera man gives her the heads up that they'll be back on air in one minute.

She'll quickly recap what's been going on, let the viewers at home watch some of the game show and that's when she'll sneak out to check on him. Hopefully it would be quick enough...

"Dad? Dad? What do you want?" FP asks fiercely, following his father down the hall.

Fortsythe stops in his tracks once they've walked a good distance so that the crowd couldn't hear them anymore, and turned around to face his son.

"What's this about telling my grandson I'm dead?" He raises his voice slightly causing FP to gulp.

"Well, you're dead to me. It's only fitting you are to him too." FP tells him confidently.

Fortsythe laughs menacingly as he shakes his head in disbelief. They make eye contact and before FP can even react, his dad had grabbed him by his collar and pushed him up against the wall.

FP was much stronger now than he was back then, but it was as if the fear of his father had taken over him, and all he could do was squirm in his strong hold.

"I don't think we need to do all of this again do we?" He grits through his teeth, watching as FP struggled.

"FP!" Alice exclaims as she runs towards them.

Both of their heads turn their way towards the blonde who is quickly making her way down the hall.

"Get your hands off him, asshole." She tells him finally reaching the two men, placing her hands on Fortsythe's arm trying to tug it.

"Beat it, bitch." He lets out in a growl as his hand slaps her across the face.

She lets out a whimper of pain as she falls to the ground, taken aback by his actions.

That's when FP snapped out of his fear. His arm was free of his father's grip as he had just hit Alice. He punched his father as hard as he could causing the man to stumble to the ground, knocking him out.

He lets the breath he had been holding out watching his father crumble before he quickly made his way over to Alice.

"Al, Alice, are you okay?" He asks her as he takes her in his arms.

"I'm fine FP, are you okay?" She says still holding her hand to her biting cheek.

"I'm good Al. You're not though, I'm so sorry he hit you." He caresses her other cheek as tears start to form in his eyes.

"Really FP, he just slapped me. I'll be okay." She tells him with a soft smile.

"No Alice, he should have never laid a hand on you. He should've never came back to Riverdale, he should've never-he should have never-" FP breaks as a few tears spill down his cheeks.

"Oh, FP." She lets go of her cheek to embrace him tightly.

She knew how hard all of this was for him. The pain his father had caused him, petrified him. Especially now since his father had just hit her.

"It's okay, it's okay. You're okay." She repeats slowly as he breathed in the scent of her shampoo.

"Am I just like him?" He asks in a faint whisper.

She pulls back to look at him with a confused look. His eyes were full of worry and pain, she wished she could just take it all away.

"You are nothing like him, don't ever think you are." She reassures him.

"But I'm a drunk, and I just knocked him out. I-" he sighs furiously rubbing his hands down his face.

She grabs them in her own, linking their fingers together.

"You were an alcoholic. But you got help and you fixed up your life FP. Something your father didn't have the courage to do. And you had to knock him out FP, he went at you, at me. It could have gotten way worse if you wouldn't have protected me and yourself." She tells him softly.

"What if I hurt you?" He asks in a faint whisper, almost as if he was afraid of her response.

"You would never lay a hand on me, FP. You know that yourself too." She tells him gripping onto his jacket to make him look at her.

"What If I fall off the wagon again?" He asks her another question, trying to find any reason that he was like his father.

"You won't. If you feel the need to drink, call me. I'm here and I'll answer every time. No matter where I am or what I'm doing. You matter more to me than anything else." She caresses his cheek softly and wipes away the single tear that escapes his eye.

"God, I love you." He lets out before kissing her passionately which she smiles into.

"I love you too." She mumbles against his lips.

"Baby, you really need to get some ice on that." He says once they break the kiss, gently stroking the red mark on her cheek that was quickly turning into a bruise.

"I know, but I have to be on air in like five minutes." She chuckles.

"I'm sorry." He tells her again.

"You never hit me FP, this isn't your fault." She tells him sternly kissing him once more.

"I'm going to deal with him. I'll call Tom for help just incase it gets out of hand." He tells her as they both finally stand up from their sitting position.

"Okay, good. Pick me up when the game show is over?" She asks him as she cocks her head to the side.

"Anything for you." He smiles, placing another sweet kiss to her lips.

"Be careful." She tells him as she starts to walk back towards the room where the game show was being held.

"I will be." She smiles at that.

"Oh and Al, thank you." He tells her, looking a her with nothing but love and gratitude.

"I'm always here FP, whenever you need me." She blows him a kiss before diapering into the room.
