I can't believe we finally get to see what's in the letter! This is how I would like it to go, but we all know it definitely won't be like this...

Alice smiled as she applied some blush onto her cheeks. She was just twenty minutes away from getting on that stage for the second time to perform in the musical the kids put on.
She didn't really want to be in it again, with all that happened with Midge. But when Kevin pleaded with her, she knew she had to do it for the boy.
A knock on the door makes her look at the corner of her mirror, to see non other than FP Jones.
"Hey superstar." He grins as he enters her little dressing room.
Alice chuckles as she gets up from her seat to greet him properly. She smiles brightly as she wraps her hands around his neck, kissing him slowly and softly.
"Hey, honey."
"Almost ready?" He asks her, wrapping his arms around her more securely.
"Yep, just finishing my makeup." She responds.
"You don't need it, you're gorgeous." He admits, causing her to blush.
FP Jones always turned her into silly putty, but she was starting to like it. He captures her lips in a sweet kiss, before pulling away with a grin.
"Why are you back here anyways, aren't you, JB and Charles all sitting together?" She furrows her brows.
"Yeah we are, but I came back here to give you this." He tells her shyly, holding up a pink envelope in the air.
"FP Jones got me a good luck card, wow. Well I don't know if you've heard, but in theatre, it's break a leg." She teases, grabbing the card from him and waving it around.
"It's not a card, it's a letter." He states, rubbing her sides gently.
"A letter?" He nods.
Fp notices her confusion and sighs. He drops his head as he tries to figure out how to tell her this without making her upset, but he knows there's no way.
She worries as she gently tilts his chin up, encouraging him to go on. If she needed to be there for FP, she would be.
"Yeah, a letter. I wrote this two years ago, when I came to see Carrie."
"No, you-you weren't at Carrie." She shakes her head.
"Yeah, I was Al. I felt like an ass when I turned you down in pops, so I came to see you-but I left before the show even started." He finally admits.
"But, why didn't you stay?" She asks softly, hurt by his actions.
"Well, I walked in and saw you with Hal." He tells her lowly.
Her face drops at the mention of her ex-husband. Her hands make their way off of his neck as she turns around so she isn't facing him. One hand over her mouth as she tried to hold in a sob, but it was no use.
She let out a cry as she slumped back into her chair, placing her face in her hands as she sobbed. Fp hurried over to her and embraced her, whispering sweet words into her ear as she let everything out.
"I'm so sorry." She chokes out, caressing his face.
"You didn't-"
"No, I ruined my life when I took him back. I ruined my reputation, I ruined us, I ruined my daughter, god, I just-I ruin everything!" She furiously yells, tears continuously stream down her face.
"Hey, hey, shhhhh, shhhhh. It's okay, it's okay. Breathe for me Al, breathe." He rubs circles on her lower back, attempting to calm her down.
If he would've known she would've gotten this worked up about the letter, he would've never given it to her. Hell, she didn't even read the damn thing yet.
"Al, you didn't ruin anything. I promise you, you are an amazing woman." He reassures her, placing a kiss to the top of her head.
She pulls away as she shakes her head. "I'm not."
"Stop that. You're amazing Al, everyone can see that. I don't blame you for what happened back then, and I don't want you blaming yourself. That's all history. All that matters, is that we're together now, and that I love you with all that I am. Okay?" He whispers causing her to let out another little cry.
"Okay." She responds with a sad smile.
"Good, now fix that pretty face of yours!" He tells her, noticing how her mascara was everywhere.
She laughs before placing a tender kiss on his lips. She adored this man, more than he would ever know.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Al." She smiles.
He kisses her cheek before making his way back to the door. "Oh and Al, break a leg." He grins.
She bites her lip to stifle a grin. Her attention is then on the pink envelope that was on her vanity. She breathed heavily as she made her way over there and started to open it slowly. Her heart was beating out of her chest as she started reading his cute messy handwriting.
Al,
I'm sorry. I've never been good at things with you, only because it terrifies me to loose you completely. I don't wanna mess up with you again, so that's why I pushed you away. Because pretending to hate you, is easier than admitting what's true, and we both know what's true by now.
The other night was incredible, you always amaze me Alice. I know everything is so complicated with us still being married and the kids dating, but I'd like to see where we could go. You keep me grounded, and lots of other things that I don't have time to write. I'm not very good with words anyways.
Break a leg tonight Al, although you won't need it. You've always been perfect at everything you do.
Xo, FP
She wipes away the freshly fallen tears reading his letter. The what could have been haunted her, she messed up. If she would've just not taken Hal back, her and FP would've been together back then.
She shakes her head, trying to erase all of those horrible thoughts. She couldn't think about the what if's anymore, not after FP told her she shouldn't.
They were together now, and more in love than ever. So it took them a little longer to get there, but who cares now? That's all in the past. She wants to focus on the present and future with him.
"Alice Smith, you're on in five." Kevin tells the woman with a smile.
"Thanks Kevin." She returns one, as he makes his way backstage.
She sticks the letter in between the little crack of the mirror, just so she could stare at it. FP Jones, the man who wasn't good with words, wrote her a love letter. She couldn't stop blushing at the thought.
She touched up her makeup quickly, took a deep breath, and got out on that stage and had a top notch performance no one could ever beat.
"That's my woman." FP proudly states as the crowd clapped and cheered.
