Here's to the freaks

Why is it that in this world we are forced to live the way society wants us to? The way we live is hiding just so we don't have to be labeled but we all get labeled in the end. And we're just scared of all of that when you have to face your fears at the end of the day anyway because it's weak not to. And when people reach out for help society tells them to just be stronger and suck it up.

Why is it that we live in a world where a little girl goes home and cries because people bully her at school? And she gets bullied because she wears the same clothes all the time. But what people don't know is that she is abused at home and her family doesn't care enough about what happens to her to get her new clothes. And when someone tries to be her friend they get labeled weird for even interacting with her.... so they stop talking to her and bully her just like the rest.

Why is it that we live in a world where boys who do something other than sports they are automatically "fags"? Boys who have a passion for art or literature or just don't play sports are being considered gay. Why is it that gay is still used in a negative way and we still hear people say it just to be funny when being an asshole is amusement enough.

Well here's to the people who go out of society's standards. Here's to the girls who cry when they get home. Here's to the boys who get called gay because they are passionate about something.

Here's to us. The freaks. And we couldn't be happier.
