Hi, I'm y/n l/n. Anyways I decided to move out to LA because of my best friend, Courtney who moved from our town to move to LA we are still best friends and she's been begging me to move out there ever since we were 18. Her wish is finally coming true today. Courtney was nice enough to book me an internship at her company Smosh and it turns out I and some other person are internshipped together. When Smosh adds new people they usually add in pairs or groups so I'm being added with someone named Damien Haas. I hope he's nice. I catch my flight tomorrow. Luckily I know Olivia too because I've face-timed with Courtney while she was at her place and Olivia seemed like she would be really chill.
Courtney's PoV
I'm so excited to pick up y/n later after work. It's funny because me and Shayne both hooked up our best friends with a job at our office and they both start on Monday. I haven't been able to focus during work and everyone is fed up with me telling them about how amazing y/n is. "Hey, Court we are doing a try not to laugh! Ready?" Olivia says standing behind my desk. I get up and nod my head and we head over. We were filming number 13 with Joe and after the whole Sam thing, I forgot about it but I'm so excited. "Ohhh hell yes!" Olivia says while Keith says "Welcome to the 257th episode of try not to laugh, y'all know we always have a special guest with us so you know I brought wit me my uncle Joe!" Joe then proceeds to climb from under Keith so I back up while Shayne yelled: "Ohh Keith is birthing him!" I loved today's episode because a lot of people loved my joke about roasting him. Also, Joe being there was so fun and entertaining! Once we finished I remembered y/n and smiled to myself. "What are you smiling about?" Shayne asked, walking up behind me as we left the set. Joe came up to us to say bye before I got to answer his question. I do really miss Joe being around us all the time and helping around the office but I'm proud of what he's accomplished. He left and Shayne asked his question again. "What were you smiling about?" he smiled at me and I laughed. "I remember I'm picking-" Shayne interrupted to say "y/n from the airport she's like the best person alive like she's like a god but like if you multiplied him by a trillion" he continued trying to finish my sentence. I laughed and shoved him a little. He laughed at his own joke while the others followed out of set laughing as well. I just shook it off and laughed with them. I walked back to my desk with the rest of then to continue work.
———time skip to end of work
"You really talked up y/n, can't wait to meet her on Monday" Shayne said as I was leaving early to make Sams  flight. Once I arrive at the airport I wait in the area she should be in. (Sorry if I get anything wrong I've only been on a plane once, a while ago) I look around and spot y/n. I almost scream but I get up and run and hug her. "Y/n!" I say while hugging her. "Oh my gosh, your hair looks even better in person!" she says feeling one side of my hair. I smiled remembering that she hasn't had a chance to see my hair yet. We walked back to my car talking it up about how its been and how I was telling everyone at the office about her. She laughed and smiled. y/n is so generous so telling her about what I said was hilarious. She was all nervous and asking what they said. She's also somewhat insecure so I hope the comments won't be too mean. She's also so confident so I think she'll be fine. We arrive to my apartment and I show her to my guest bedroom. I text Shayne:
C- Hey you wanna bring Damien to a dinner? Like me, you, y/n, and Damien?
S- That sound fun! Sure! When and what restaurant?
C- Uh maybe *a restaurant in La that they both might enjoy that i would have no idea of because I don't know them and I live on the east coast.*
S- Yeah, love that place, sounds so fun thanks Court! Can't wait to meet y/n!😘
C- Ew, Shayne, k see you at 7!
I look up from my phone and hear y/n struggling with something. I get up and walk to her room to see her struggling with her suitcase zipper. "You need some help?" I say standing at her doorway. "Yeah the zips jacked" she says looking up at me. "Well first off I don't know a single other person that calls a zipper a zip and second move" I walk over and use my hip to push her out of the way and I pull the zipper but it comes off. "Well it's open?" I say trying to look at the bright side, holding up the 'zip'. She laughs and shakes her head. "It's fine, Court. It's Spencer's anyway (Spencer being her brother btw)". "Well get ready!" I say. "For what?" she says confused, her nose crinkles. "I invited Damien and Shayne to dinner with us so you can get to know himm " I say. "Stop itttttt" she says and slightly shoves me. "Now get ready! and also Shayne is excited to meet you," I can see her smile a little. I leave the room saying " SEVEN"

y/n walks out with a casual outfit on. ^^ "Ready?" I say. She nods her head and we head out. We arrive at the restaurant first and we grab a booth and take a seat.
y/n PoV
After about 2 minutes I see Shayne and a another guy. I look at the other guy for a second and we make eye contact for a second then they both sit down. He looks like my type of guy. I love guys who don't look intimidating but they are also cute he he fits the mold perfectly. I blush a tiny and Shayne speaks up. "Hey, y/n I'm Shayne and this is Damien!" he reaches over the table to shake my hand. I shake it and smile. "I'm not joking Courtney has been talking about you all day, so you better live up to our expectations," he says jokingly. "Well it depends what she said"I say crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow to him. He does a Courtney impression and says "Hey i'm Courtney and my bestttttt friend y/n is coming today and she's the best person in the world and she is hilarious and she's coming to work with ussssssss," I laughed and Courtney pretend pouts. "That's not what I sound like!" Courtney says, spoon in hand, pushing the spoon in his face . "No that's exactly what you sound like!" I say and she pushes me a little, putting the spoon in my face now. "Two can play at that game!" I say picking up my spoon and pushing it into her cheek. She pulls away laughing. Damien hasn't spoken up in awhile so I look over to him. He's smiling at me so I smile back, using my finger to push my hair behind my ear. Courtney and Shayne give each other a look. Since they are both sitting in the outside they get up and walk to a table behind us. I smile to him and he smiles beck, we are both unsure of what to say to each other. "So I- uh, how long have you know um, Courtney?" he says scratching his neck not looking at me. We both make eye contact and it's kinda sweet. We both share a laugh for no absolute reason, probably because we are both nervous. I can hear Courtney's laugh behind me. "Well since probably middle school. Uh well how's um things?" I say smiling. He laughs, I love how he laughs it's so gentle and cute. I can see him blushing but i also feel my cheeks heating up. We sit there for a bit, occasionally making eye contact but nothing huge. I see Damien try to open his mouth to speak but Shayne and Courtney come back to the table smiling. We continue to eat and make conversation but Courtney and Shayne mostly do the talking. Once the night is over Shayne asks me for my number and I see Damien wants to ask but is too nervous do I ask if he wants it and he says yes. Courtney calls the Uber. While we wait Courtney says "You like himmmmmmm" "Which one?" I say trying to play dumb. "Damien of course! You guys were all eye contacty and stuff" she says smiling. "Oh and also Ian let me know there's another girl joining you and DamienbMonday as well! I think her name is Ericka but she has a nickname or something like her last name is her first name. Like her name is Ericka Bozeman but she goes by Boze?" Courtney says. "Oh that makes sense! Do you know anything else about her?" I ask as our uber pulls up. We hop in as she shakes her head. "Uh, not really, but I think she's like short and has brown hair but that's all I know,"
