I'll bet you people know what this rant is about.

Think about a Wattpad book you love. One that you are practically obsessed with.

Keep that book in mind.

I have a question: Does that book update often or is on a steady schedule?

Or does it NEVER EVER UPDATE AND THE AUTHOR JUST DOESN'T FEEL LIKE DOING CRAP?!?!

Sorry.

I'm kind of annoyed beyond belief if you haven't noticed. You should've noticed by now that behind my bubbly and energetic personality, I get annoyed easily.

I hate, hate, HATE it when an author doesn't update an awesome story for two years- and the story isn't even completed, yet!!

What?!

WHAT?!

No.

NO!!

NO, NO, NO!!!

ASDFGHJKL!!

I want to smash a wall with my own head.

I know what you're thinking: "But, Peggy! You've already lost your head!"

You are correct.

When you write a book, you should update often. Maybe once per week? Twice? Once per day? Twice?

Just don't wait sixty years to update your story! People will forget about it and take it out of their library if you take that long to update!!

If you barely update, maybe it's a sign to discontinue your story!

If you know it's going to take a while for you to update, but you really want to publish your story now, you can publish a teaser. Maybe publish one chapter, a prologue, or even an excerpt from your story! Let people know in advance that you will take a while to update so people don't think you've STOPPED WRITING!!!

That's all I have to say.

See ya.

(Also, you don't have to update your story once it's completed! Once it's done, it's done!!)
