Chapter 13: Followers

Bryan wakes up after a long night. He can hear people talking in the living room. He stands up and the floor boards beneath him creak. He walks to the living room and Mia is talking to Ian.

"Good morning" Mia says.

"Good morning" Bryan says trying to keep his eyes open.

"I made breakfast" Ian said.

Bryan walked to the dining room to see food made on the dining room table. Jealousy runs through him.

"Im fine, I'm gonna go for a walk" Bryan said.

"Okay" They both responded.

Bryan walks out the door and looks around. The idea of civilization still blows his mind. He had been on the road for the longest time. He stops walking to see Floyd walking with Kate. Bryan holds on to his knife while he hears knocking and banging on the walls. Bryan walked closer and closer. His adrenaline rushed through his blood hearing the intense growls near his ear. He got close, close enough to hear every pitch. He stopped listening. He thought about what's next for him. Everything tried to be clear for him. Screams interrupted his thoughts. He pulled out his gun and ran to the front of Highbury.
Shots were being fired as 2 Warriors got in. Bryan hid behind a house and got closer and closer. The warriors walked up slowly and Bryan got behind them. He grabbed one's neck and shot the other. Bryan threw him down and grabbed the warriors gun and shot his chest. Things calmed has people ran down to the front.

"What just happened?" Morgan asked.

"Warriors" Bryan answered.

"Why would they attack? They would never do that." Morgan replied.

"They're not good people, we have to fight them" Bryan said.

"But there's a reason why they would attack us" Morgan said.

"Now we have a reason to attack them" Bryan said.

"We don't know where they are" A voice said from behind Morgan.

Kate came out with Floyd.

"We'll find them then" Bryan said.

"How?" Floyd said angrily.

"When will they be coming back?" Bryan asked.

"In two days" Morgan said.

"Good" Bryan said.
