Chapter 14: The Rules

Morgan brings everyone at noon for a meeting. Bryan walks up with Conner and listen.

"I have something to tell you all, we have a member here that has offered to teach you men and women how to fight"

"Why" a stray voice says.

"The warriors have done enough, they believe we have some kind of a truce and there the older brother that messes with us, in reality they are attacking us, and they are ruining our community" Morgan replied.

"Who's gonna teach us?" Floyd asked.

"Bryan, and his friends" Morgan answered.

"I know how to fight, I don't need him helping me" Floyd says glaring at Bryan.

"But we need maximum effort here, Bryan and his friends have been on the road for a while" He said back.

"So what?" Floyd said back "Bryan has just brought trouble to this place"

"Floyd" Morgan said.

"Yes."

"Silence" He responded.

"We need to start working together, we need to star-"

A truck interrupts him pulling up to the gate. Bryan looks around and Jessie runs to the gate to open it. While the gate opened a man stared in.

"Hello" He said.

"Hi" She said back.

He walked in with two trucks following smiling.

"This place looks great today!" He said.

Morgan walked down and walked towards him.

"Welcome back Apollo, you're early." Morgan said.

"How could I not, I wanna see my favorite community" Apollo smiled.

Bryan glanced at him.

"You got new people? They know the rules right?" Apollo asked.

He walked up to Bryan and stared him dead in the eye and smiled.

"These people at Highbury, they give us what we want, we keep them in track, we make sure they live under us, they're like our little brother." Apollo said. "Seems fair?"

"What does Highbury get out of it, why do you attack them" Bryan asked.

Apollos eyes got darker and more sinister.

It was a house last time, gotta make sure they don't get too efficient, or they could retaliate, and these people get a group to help them if they are going against another"

"You seem like the only group that's causing us trouble" Bryan said.

Apollo grabs Bryan and turns him around looking at the Warriors taking stuff from their armory.

"You see that? You should be lucky we don't kill you" Apollo said.

Bryan looked away as Apollo walked away. The rest of the men put the stuff in the back of the truck, Apollo got in the passenger seat of a truck and Bryan gave a smirk to Isacc, Jessie and Avery. They all ran for a car as the Warriors drove off. They got in the car and began to follow them. Floyd watched and clenched his fist.
