Chapter 16: Our Return

Mia and Conner started getting their stuff ready to go to Aldermine. They walked towards a car and Floyd stopped them.

"Where are you going?" Floyd asked them.

"Were gonna scavenge, were getting a little low on food" Mia answered.

Floyd looked confused and began to move out of their way.

"See you later dick" Mia said.

They got in the car and drove off.

"So where is this place?" Conner asked.

"Its north from Highbury" Mia said.

"You said it was.... an airport?" Conner asked.

"Yes, its an airport" Mia said.

They drove by a forest and Conner started getting tired. He looked at the walkers passing by and started to fall asleep. Minutes later the car comes to a stop.

"Were here" Mia said.

Conner woke up to see the front gate of a huge airport. People were walking around and there were airplanes. He was amazed while getting out of the car. Eli walked up to the gate and opened it.

"What's up Mia" Eli said smirking.

"Shut up, where's your ammunition and guns" Mia asked.

They started walking towards a room and Eli showed them the guns. Mia looked around at all of them and began to take them down and put them in a luggage bag.

"Why do you need this?" Eli asked.

"We're going to war" Mia answered.

"What??" Eli said surprised.

"With who?"

"You don't know them" Mia said.

"Bet I do" Eli replied.

"They're called the Warriors" Mia said.

Eli's eyes opened with astonishment and fear.

"You cant" Eli said.

"We can and we will" Mia said.

"You don't understand what you're starting" Eli said.

A bell interrupted them and they all walked out. 4 trucks drove into Aldermine and tons of men and women stepped out.

"You deal with them too?" Conner asked.

"I wouldn't call it a deal" Eli answered.

"No I meant.. anyways are you gonna do anything about it?" Conner questioned him.

"What can we do, were outnumbered." Eli answered.

Mia pulled out a sniper and aimed over at them.

"I can take them out" Mia said.

"There's maybe 40 of them, by the time you take out 2 they will find you and kill all of us" Eli said.

Mia tried to resist pulling the trigger aiming at a Warriors head. Her hands twitched and kept aiming.

"Don't" Conner said looking at her.

She looked over and stopped.

"Fine, but I'm not leaving without getting these guns" Mia said.

"We cant go to war with them" Eli said.

"What if Highbury and Aldermine joined forces?" Mia replied.

"What's a Highbury?" Eli asked.

Mia looked down and sighed.

"We'll talk about it later" Mia answered.
