Chapter 23: Lost

They started to come back. Bryan had Eli, Vick and Jim in the car. Issac had Mia, Avery, and Floyd. Bryan stopped alongside a road because they ran out of gas.

"Shit" Bryan said stopping.

Bryan and Issac both got out of the cars.

"Out of gas" Bryan said.

"Were not far, lets walk"

"Yeah but before that, what happened to Floyd" Bryan asked.

"Shot, across the airfield, through the shoulder" Issac said.

"Probably from me, had to shoot a few dozen of them" Bryan responded.

"Dont blame you, that place was overrun" Issac said.

"Thank you for getting the others back safe" Bryan said.

"No problem" Issac replied.

They shook hands and told the others they had to walk. Floyd had trouble walking but he managed to get up and start walking with the help of Eli and Issac.

"Theyre probably already there" Bryan acknowledged.

"If they are, we'll kill them" Jim said.

"Theres still a lot of them left" Bryan replied.

"Do you have people there?" Jim asked.

"Two, a woman named Kate and our leader Morgan" Bryan told him.

"I hope theyre okay" Jim said.

"They know how to hide" Bryan told him

"These Warriors, why did they attack in the first place" Jim asked him.

"When we got there, they burned down a house just because they wanted to" Bryan answered.

"So these Warriors, theyre just bullies huh?" Jim responded.

"Yup" Bryan said back.

After a while they come across Highburys gates.

"Wow" Jim says.

Kate opens the gates and no trucks are there.

"Theyre not here?" Bryan asked.

"The Warriors?" Kate questioned back.

"Yeah"

"No? Why, what happened" Kate said looking at the new people and Floyd with passed out and a wound on his shoulder.

"We attacked them, Kingwell is know a big pile of rubble and fire" Bryan asked.

"Oh thank god!" Kate said.

"But so is Aldermine" Bryan said.

"Well what do we do?" Kate asked.

"We get ready, line up a defense, make sure were ready, theyre coming soon" Bryan said.

"Okay, ill tell Morgan" Kate said running towards a house.

"Issac and Avery, go to the armory and get guns, Mia get Floyd inside a house, Eli and Vick follow Kate, Jim you come up with me to the watch tower, lets end this fucking war" Bryan exclaims.
