2// The Past

"Dinner was lovely, thank you." I leaned over and pecked his lips. We were at the Grand Luxe, having a nice meal on a beautiful Sunday. Cesar plumed lips, sitting back staring at his dark green eyes he was so handsome and I was completely infatuated by him. "We should head back, it's getting late." The Hotel I thought.
I hated that place. I feel cheap. I wish he would take me to his home. Obviously, he can't take me back to my place, I still live with my mom.
But I don't want to upset him, I submit to him because I can't lose him.

The next day isn't awkward, only because he always avoid me now. Ever since we started sleeping around he thought it was best if we weren't around each other. But I missed him. I know he may not feel the same right now but eventually he will. I brought up his favorite lunch, and think it would be a good start if we do something outside of our usual dinner and fucking. A Casual lunch.

"Come in." I heard his sharped, firm voice which made my heart skip a beat. He was behind his desk wearing a navy suit almost similar to the one I was wearing.

"Hey, I thought it would be cool if we had lunch together." He stood up and walked around his desk standing over me. "And what did I tell you Venus? We can't be seen together."
"I know, but I thought- "
"You thought wrong. We have to stop what we are doing anyway." My heart dropped, I didn't even know if I was hearing the words correctly .
"Wha- what? Why" my eyes started to water.
"I have a wife and she found out about us."
He has a wife? Since when? He said he was single. "But, can you get a divorce?"
"You want me to leave my wife? For an intern?" He chuckled to himself. "Now leave Venus, or I'll have to end your internship earlier than the norm."
I can't believe this is happening, Cesar is the only good thing in my shitty life right now. We were together for 6 months and he just ended it? What did I do wrong? If we fight then I will lose this internship, It's the best I've ever had and I need the college credit.
He stood there waiting for me to leave. I wanted to say something, but he was someone you didn't want to mess with. He has power. So I tossed the food in the trash, and left his office.

Following Venus, Cesar pulls up to a nice brown stone in Greenwich Village. He was curious on to how she could afford this place. She obviously could afford the restaurant bill. What his little girl been up to these years that made her thrive so well.
He goes up the stairs, and give it a few knocks.
A few seconds later a young girl with dark dark brown eyes and dark hair answers. She looks exactly like his sister and mother. Same dark hair and brown eyes, but she also had Venus feature, button nose, full lips, but what made him see his resemblance was the dog birth mark on her right arm.
