I smiled shyly as Shouto introduced me to some more heroes he happened to know. He'd talked about them at home, mostly to rant.

"It's wonderful to finally meet you." I greeted. I smiled up at Shouto, who had his arm around my waist and a drink in his free hand. "Shouto says you're really good at calming people down."

The hero laughed. "You think? How long have you guys been together anyway, no one's been able to give me a proper answer."

Shouto smiled knowingly. "It's been almost 6 years now, right Em?"

I tilted my head back. "We started dating second year of high school, so yeah, almost 6."

"Wow, are you two engaged or anything?"

I choked on my drink and the hero started apologizing. "Oh god I am so sorry are you alright? I didn't mean to sound offensive or anything!"

I waved them off as Shouto rubbed my back. "No no, I'm fine, I just wasn't prepared for that question." I flashed a nervous smile before straightening my dress. "No, Shouto and I aren't engaged."

"Wait really? I'd have figured you would be by now."

I shifted nervously. It wasn't that I hadnt thought about it, but I didn't want to push Shouto or anything, not even slightly shove him. "We don't really do things the way normal people do." I smiled. "So how about you? Are you dating or engaged? I don't see any ring so I'm assuming you aren't married." And I safely changed the course of the conversation to him.

Shouto brushed off the conversation, and the rest of the night went smoothly. By the end of the night I was tipsy and Shouto had to have his driver take us home. We'd moved in together a year after we graduated high school, and both of us had very successful careers.

I giggled as Shouto helped me inside, waving off his driver.

"Hey Shouto?"

He easily supported me, leading me to our bedroom.

"Yes Emiko?"

I smiled as he sat next to me, taking off my jacket. I leaned forward and kissed him, halting his movements. "I love you."

Shouto chuckled lightly, kissing me back. "You're drunk honey. You need sleep." I giggled at his words as he finished taking off my coat. "Come on, lets get you changed."

I sighed and obediently changed, crawling into bed with him a few minutes later. "Shouto?"

"Yes Emiko?"

I blinked up at the male curiously, examing his beautiful herochromatic eyes. "You love me too, right?"

Shouto looked genuinly surprised. "Of course I love you. Why would you ever think I don't?"

I smiled brightly. "I've never thought you didn't, I just wante-" I was abruptly cut off as he slammed his mouth over mine, shifting so he was hovering above me.

"Never, ever think I don't love you." He whispered between kisses. I was drunk, but not nearly drunk enough not to know what was happening. I allowed him to kiss me, relishing in the feel. "If this is about what that jerk said ealier..." Shouto kissed me again, making it last a while before continuing. "I do want to marry you someday, I just want to ask in the right way." He murmured.

I smiled into our kiss, shifting so I was hugging him tightly. "I didn't doubt you Shouto, I just wanted you to say it again." I whispered. I exhaled softly as he smoothed my hair. "Besides, I'd never say no to that question, not if its you asking."
