I glanced up as something barreled into the room, jumping onto my lap. "Daddy! Daddy! Mommy said its dinnertime!"

I smiled and set down my book, wrapping my arms loosly around the child in my lap. He had her eyes. "Yeah? What did mommy make for dinner?"

"Chili and cornbread! She says if we finish everything on our plates she made something really yummy for dessert!"

I grinned. "Is that so? What did she make for dessert?"

My son shrugged. "I don't know, but hurry up! The faster we eat dinner the faster we can have dessert!"

I laughed as he raced to the dining room, straightening and striding towards the kitchen. I smiled and leaned against the doorway, watching Emiko pour the chili into the bowls. Her long white hair was thrown into a messy ponytail, probably thrown up right before she started cooking.

"You look like you need some help."

She glanced up at me in surprise, and I grinned before striding towards her. I began placing the cornbread on the plates, smirking as she began working again. We'd been married for 7 years now, and our 6 year old son was truly one of my favorite things on the planet.

"I'll take these to the table." I offered as I picked up two of the bowls. Emiko smiled at me.

"Thank you sweetheart."

I took all the bowls to the table before returning to help her put the milk on the table. As soon as we were done I pushed in her chair while our son hopped into his seat.

Our son practically devoured his food and we both laughed. "Dessert now?"

"Brush your teeth." Emiko instructed.

I smiled as I ate. "Whats for dessert then?"

She blushed at my wink. "Shouto! I made cheesecake!"

Our son raced back downstairs with the toothpaste bottle. "Mommy! I  cant get it open!" Emiko sighed and uncapped it for him before she resumed eating. I smirked silently.

"Why does he get more affection?" I teased

Emiko flashed a smile towards me as she stood with her dishes. "Maybe you'd get some too if you were nice to me."

I stood and followed her, placing my dishes in the sink. "I'm only not nice when you compare me to Angel." I nuzzled her neck as I spoke, softly inhaling her scent.

She giggled. "Yeah? Tell you what Shouto, you find a babysitter for next week, and I might show you some affection."

I brushed our noses together, my hands planted firmly on the counter behind her as I gazed into her eyes teasingly. "Is that a promise Mrs. Todoroki?"

She hummed and leaned forward so I could just barely feel her lips. "Maybeeee."

I grinned and gave her a quick peck. "Because I think," another, "that you're just," again, "changing," a longer one. "Your mind." I kissed her before she could protest, ignoring her giggles.

"Oh ew! You guys havent brushed your teeth!"

Emiko broke away at our sons voice, and I grinned at her. "No, we haven't. Do you want your dessert now?"

Successfully distracted, I gave Emiko another short kiss before pulling away. "How'd you feel about a sibling?" I asked as I pulled out the cheesecake. Emiko's face flared and I flashed a wide grin as our child began explaining how much he wanted one.

Yeah, this was absolutely perfect.
