I beamed at Todoroki as I let him into my house. I wasn't dressed up, just wearing jeans and a nice shirt, but my hair was down.
"I brought candy, just in case you run out." he handed me a large bag and I grinned, walking to the kitchen and setting it on the counter. I pulled out a piece of paper and pressed it against the counter to write. I handed it to him with a slight smile.
"Thank you very much, I thought we could watch Halloween movies while the children trick or treated."
He nodded. "That sounds good."
I beamed and bounced into the living room, twirling my hair around my finger as I pulled out my stack. In truth, I didn't have a lot of Halloween movies, but netflix and hulu had plenty. I pulled out my phone and typed something up.
"Some of these are more the theme of Halloween than actually being halloween, if you want some more halloween movies I have netflix and hulu."
"Whatever you want is fine, I don't mind either way."
I smiled and looked at the movies in my hands, I selected one and slipped it into the machine, settling myself on the couch next to Todoroki and pressing play. We watched the movie in a blissful silence before the doorbell rang for the first time. And so started our three hour long cycle of giving out candy and smiling at bright young children.
I laughed as I closed the door once more, thoroughly amused by the childs costume. Todoroki was blushing slightly.
I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and typed something, showing it to him.
"I thought the kids costume was adorable."
Todoroki looked away. "It wasn't."
I typed some more. "How was it not? He saw you on at the sports festival and went through the work to research your costume!"
"It's unexpected and embarrassing."
I giggled, slipping my hand into his and leading him back to the living room while I typed. "It was adorable and you know it."
"I suppose it could have been worse." He murmured.
I flashed a grin and released his hand, turning my head in surprise when he didn't let go, instead drawing me closer. I tilted my head, both flustered and curious.
"Emiko..." Todoroki brushed my hair behind my ear, startling me. "You look really cute when you're being stubborn." He flashed a smile as the doorbell rang, leaving me a flustered mess.
I fanned my face, willing it to cool down as I sat in the corner of the couch. I ducked my head as Todoroki re-entered the room, sitting beside me.
"Emiko? Did I go too far?" He touched my shoulder hesitantly, like he wanted to comfort me but wasn't sure if he was allowed.
I typed quickly on my phone, showing it to him while keeping my face hidden. "That was mean, you know i'm not good with comments like that!"
Todoroki laughed, handing me back my phone before pulling me closer and hugging me on his lap. My face grew a bright red. "I can't help if they're true. Especially when you're embarrassed."
I shoved him, puffing out my cheeks in an attempt to hide my embarrassment. He grinned and pulled me closer so I was pressed against his chest. I felt his face in my hair and squirmed. This wasn't good for my heart.
"You're adorable. And also really smart, and beautiful, and quick, and caring, and just amazing."
My face grew darker with each word, and I knew it was cherry red. I hid my face in his chest, mumbling unhappily under my breath. I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed.
