"Well, what you missed to be exact," I continued while walking to the dining room.

"So, you've been here all the time?" He said as we sat on each side of the sofa, with our legs intertwined. The place where we had always had our deep conversations before, before I became a ghost.

"Yeah, I've been here all night. Seeing you cry, sick, soulless," if I could tell him how much I wanted to show up as early as I can.

"So, why was it again? Why didn't you show up earlier?" He placed his hands in front of his abs that was covered by his black t-shirt.

"We have 3 years' probation," his face surely read a confusion, "If people on earth, I mean, the living people still mourn on you, 3 years after your death, you're given 490 days to convince them to let you go."

Confusion didn't leave his face.

"By the way, quick question, can ghost eat? I mean, if you want, I can order pizza to accompany us," he reached his phone placed on the table beside us.

"Where would it go, Mr Mendes," I pointed my fingers to my tummy and it went through it. "I can only be fed by souls, you know how ghosts sucked in the souls of the living on the horror movie," I made up a serious expression and deeply gazed into his eyes.

"Are you being serious?" He was taken back with my sayings. He seemed like a bit scared that I would suck his soul.

"Of course not, love!-" I could feel my cheeks heating even if I knew I have no blood vessels anymore. I could see he loved it too, the way I called him love. "You're still that dumb, eh?" I broke the silence and he chuckled.
