There was a sudden crack behind me, causing me to morph into my wolf and spin around. I growled viciously until I saw it was Adam. I stopped growling and returned to my human form.

"I almost thought you were going to kill me there." Adam stated plainly.

"It would teach you not to sneak up on me like that, especially not with Eros and his pack roaming free." I replied in a monotone.

No answer came and I turned around to see his pitch black wolf running into the mansion. I shook my head in confusement until I heard the leaves above me rattle. I stood my ground, my eyes fixed on the trees around me.

"Audrey, Audrey, Audrey." I heard a voice and saw a silhouette in the shadows.

"Eros!" I growled even though I wasn't in my wolf form.

"I love the way my name rolls off your tongue," Eros laughed menacingly and emerged from the shadows, "How is that little bruise around your neck?"

I grabbed for my neck and covered it. The marks where he had choked me had atleast faded so it wasn't extremely visible anymore.

"Stay away from me and stay away from everyone here, Eros. You may think you are strong and all because you have The Valkeries on your side, but you are not." I said unflinching.

"You underestimate me, Rey." He said in a gruff voice which send a chill down my spine.

"I told you not to call me that, Eros." I tried not to panic.

I was alone with Eros in the middle of the woods on the battle grounds. No one would be out patrolling this time of the night. I was panicking inside at what he might do to me.

"Oh sweetie. You were always so headstrong." He gave a grin.

"I am not afraid of you, Eros, so you can stop trying to intimidate me." I tried to sound loud and authoritive to scare him off.

A loud howl echoed through the woods and when I turned around to face Eros again, he had vanished into thin air. Someone came running up to me from behind.

"Audrey, what are you still doing out here? We were so worried." Kaila said and took me by the shoulders, leading me back up to the mansion.

"Eros..." I said, almost as though I was in a trance.

"What?" Kaila asked confused.

"Eros, he stopped me in the woods." I said and snapped back to reality.

"You have to tell your father about this, Audrey. Eros means trouble." Kaila said as we stepped inside the house.

"Audrey is that you?" My father called from the living room.

I walked to the living room and saw my mother, father, Mr Prospero and Adam sitting down.

"Oh honey, we were so worried about you." My mother stood up from the sofa and came over to hug me.

"Where were you?" My father asked in his deep voice.

"Alpha Tyrik, Eros means trouble. He stopped Audrey in the woods and a few days ago, he cornered her in her room. He is out to get her." Kaila said.

"Why didn't you tell me this, Audrey?" My father asked me while looking at me with great fear in his eyes.

"You have so much weight on your shoulders already, father. I didn't want to make that weight heavier, besides, I know how to take care of myself. It is not like I am in grave danger." I replied plainly.

"Oh, Audrey. You know you can always come to me and talk to me, no matter what." My father said and gave me a hug.

**********

I woke up in the middle of the night after another terrible nightmare. The fear and anxiety still gnawing at my insides. I got out of bed and headed downstairs to pour myself a glass of milk. I switched on the kitchen light and nearly stumbled backwards when I saw Adam.

"You scared me." I whispered so that I did not wake the whole house.

He simply shrugged his shoulders and drank up his glass of water. I bit my bottom lip and gave him a punch on the arm.

"What was that for?" He asked incrediously.

"For being a complete ass." I said and glared triumphantly at him.

Audrey...

I heard a voice call my name, but it was faint and very distant.

"Did you hear that?" I asked Adam.

"Hear what?" He replied.

Audrey... Audrey...

"That!" I said and ran outside towards the noise.

I listened attentively at my surroundings, but no noise came. I walked further into the woods, maybe it was far away. I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I turned around to find Adam's black wolf behind me.

"You know you don't have to follow me." I told his wolf who was walking behind me.

He growled at me to keep on walking. I nodded and proceeded into the woods. The whisper got louder and louder. It sounded like someone was in trouble. I started running towards the whispering. Some of the branches scratched me in my face. I stopped at a small opening in the woods. I narrowed my eyes to see clearly. Someone was laying on the forest floor, barely moving.

"Hello?" I asked softly.

"Audrey." The voice said hoarsely.

"Cam?" I asked surprised and ran to his aid.

I fell down on my knees next to his body. I hoisted his head onto my lap. He was bleeding terribly all over his body. There were wounds on his arms and neck.

"Cam, what happened?" I asked and tore off a piece of my shirt and pressed it against his wound in his neck to stop the bleeding.

"Eros." He managed to get out before coughing.

"What about him? Did he do this to you?" I asked and applied pressure to the wound.

"He ambushed me. He and some of his pack members." He coughed.

"Shhh, don't speak," I told Cameron before turning to Adam, "We need to get help. He will die out here."

Adam knelt down next to me and examined Cameron. He seemed to have been bitten all over his body.

"What is closer? Our pack house or the vampire's camp?" Adam asked looking at me seriously.

"The vampire's camp." I replied.

Adam gave a nod and hoisted Cameron up into his arms. We started to walk all the way to the vampire's camp.
