Katie's POV

I had gotten a text from Corbyn. All it said was "We need to talk. Meet me on my balcony in five minutes."

I sighed. Well, we were going to have to talk at some point.

He was sitting down in a chair with his face in his hands.

"Corbyn?" I sat down next to him. He looked up at me, and I could see that he had been crying.

I reached out to him, and he pulled me into his arms.

We stayed like that for several minutes.

He pulled away from me slightly. "Katie, I'm so sorry for being a jerk lately. The fact is I feel the same way about you, but I was too scared to say it to you."

"Are you sure?" I still cared about him, but I didn't know what to make about this situation.

He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine.

"Does that answer your question?" He smirked at me.

I leaned into his embrace and gave into my feelings for him.

"Oh my god!"

"What?"

"What am I going to tell Daniel?"

Corbyn's POV

Oh shit. I hadn't really thought about that.

She looked so nervous that it made me feel terrible. Maybe I should have waited until I had thought through the whole thing better.

"He'll understand, Katie," I said it more for my benefit than hers.

She didn't look like she believed me.

"We need to be careful. Daniel and Zach already want to beat you up again. Maybe we should keep this a secret until I think of a better way to break it to the boys."

"Ok, we can do that."

I didn't have a great feeling about this. We would have to pretend that we still despised each other. It would look suspicious if we started hanging out at all.

This was going to be interesting.
