Jonah's POV
Daniel stuck his head in my room.
"Hey, Katie wants to talk to you for a minute. Don't freak out when you see her. It looks worse than it is."
"Ok. I'll be right there." I wonder why she wanted to see me.
I walked through the bathroom that connected our two rooms. She looked terrible. Her face was whiter than her sheets, and she was going to have one heck of a black eye.
She smiled at me when I walked into her room.
"Hey," she motioned for me to sit down on the side of her bed.
"I'm so sorry about everything, Katie. I didn't mean for this to happen."
She cut me off by yanking me towards her and pulled me into a hug.
"It's fine. Don't worry about it." She gingerly touched her eye. "On a scale from 1 to 10, how bad do I look?"
"Um, how about 11?" She rolled her eyes at me.
"Zach thought so, too. I hope it heals soon. Anway. I wanted to know what you were going to say before Corbyn attacked you."
Oh, that. Well, I kind of lost my nerve.
"Oh, well I don't even remember now, Katie." I lied to her, and she looked like she believed me.
"I don't blame you. It all seems like a blur to me now."
"I should probably let you rest now." She nodded her head, and I walked out of the room only to bump into Zach.
Zach's POV
I looked at Jonah. What was he doing in Katie's room?
"Watch where you're going," I said as I shoved him out of my way.
I walked into Katie's room.
"How's the patient?" I knelt beside her bed.
"I'm ok. My face feels all swollen."
"Daniel and Jack are both pretty worried about you. I don't know if it's a good idea for you to be right next to Jonah's room."
She frowned. "Well, I'm not moving. Do you want to sleep in here with me tonight? We can watch movies, and I can order pizza."
"YES! I've missed my cuddle buddy!!!"
Katie's POV
What a child. I loved that kid.
I ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and extra sauce. I threw in another one of those because I knew that was Corbyn's favorite. I also got one with black olives and then one with just cheese.
Zach was going to go pick it up, and he wanted to pick up ice cream, too.
As soon as he got back, we started watching some cheesy Christmas Netflix Original. It was a take on Cinderella, but this one takes place in modern times. Corbyn kept texting me, but I muted him and stopped looking at the notifications after awhile.
Several movies later, Zach and I decided to get some sleep. I wore one of his hoodies and a pair of leggings. He slept in just a pair of sweats.
Jonah's POV
Well, wasn't that just freaking adorable? Katie was snuggled up with Zach, and her head was lying on his bare chest.
Jealousy shot through my whole body. I considered waking them up, but I decided just to creep away. Unfortunately, I tripped on Zach's t-shirt (Which in my opinion should have been on him) and fell on her floor.
Katie's head flew straight up. "Oh my god, Jonah!"
"I'm sorry," I said. How was Zach still asleep?
She carefully got out of bed and yanked me into the bathroom.
"Ok. Question. What are you doing in my bedroom?"
"I was just seeing if you were up yet. By the way, Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas." She rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"Still tired?" I reached out a hand to her. She paused and then wrapped her arms around me.
I wrapped my arms around her. I really wanted to tell her how I feel about her, but I didn't want to cause more drama. Maybe we could just be good friends for right now.
She pulled away from me slightly. Zach was now awake, and he was glaring at me.
Katie turned to him and pulled him back into her bedroom, leaving me standing alone in the doorway.
Zach's POV
I pulled her towards me and kissed her before she could pull away. She jerked her head away from mine and stared at me in surprise.
She then threw her arms around me neck and pressed her soft lips to mine. I held her tightly and forgot all about Jonah.
Holy shit. Corbyn is going to kill me.
