Tom Riddles Princess -Book 1-

One

I was now starting my fifth year at Hogwarts and I was really excited to see all my friends again. My father Fredrick Evans stood at the door to our manor next to my mother, Gillian, as well as my two big brothers William and James. This is their last year at Hogwarts so I won't be seeing as much of them around as they'll be studying for their exams. My mother hugged me tight and kissed my head " Have a good time at Hogwarts Odette, I know you'll do great" " Thank you Mother" I smiled at her before she moved on to William and James. Father put his hand on my shoulder " Be good, and keep those grades up" " I will father" " Good" he walked back inside the manor while out mother hurried us into the carriage so we wouldn't miss the train. Father was always like that, he doesn't know how to show love or affection towards us so he gets uncomfortable and leaves, that's why I'm grateful for mother.

While on the train I started moving through the compartments to find my friends so I could sit with them and catch up. I was walking through the Slytherin compartment when I bumped into a boy, making him drop his book. " I'm so sorry" I quickly said as I picked up the book and handed it back to him, I looked up to see it was that famous boy from school. Tom riddle. The one that made all the girls weak, he seemed to be looking me up and down " Are you going to take your book back Tom?" " You know my name?" " It's on the book" I smiled before he took it " I'm sorry again Tom" I said before moving past him and into the Gryffindor compartment. I walked into the room my friends were in and smiled at them as we all hugged each other " I missed you guys" " We missed you too Odette" I said down next to Lily and Molly " So how was your summer?".

We soon arrived at Hogwarts and were moved into a carriage with three Slytherin boys from our year, Tom Riddle, Avery Malfoy and George Gole. Avery looked at me and smirked " So brown head what house are you in?" I looked at him with a glare " Like I'd respond to you when you ask a question like that" I scoffed before Lily held my hand. " Tom do you know who she is?" Avery asked " No I do not" is all he said as he stared at me with a blank expression. We stayed silent the entire ride until we finally stopped at Hogwarts. Tom and his friends got out of the carriage first, Avery and George walking off but Tom stood with his hand outstretched to me " No gentleman should let a woman jump without assistance" I took his hand and jumped down as he held my waist keeping me steady, he looked at me for a few seconds before letting me go and walking away. I stood their confused as I helped Lily and Molly down.

As we walked into the great hall, finally changed into our uniforms I screamed as I was picked up and spun around. " Sirius!" He put me down and laughed at me " Come on you should be expecting it by now" I hugged him tight as he did the same " I missed you Sirius". Sirius and I were best friends since first year, we did try the dating game once but we both felt extremely awkward and knew we were destined to be best friends forever. I hugged James and Lupin before sitting down at the table. Once all the first years were housed and the head master had finished his speech we began eating our feast. " Why is Riddle staring at us?" Sirius asked I looked up from my seat beside him and noticed Tom staring " No idea". " Bloody Riddle" Lily spat " What he do now?" James asked " He helped Odette off the carriage saying a gentleman never lets a lady do it unassisted then left". Everyone looked at me " Don't look at me I don't know him".

Once we got into our common room all seven of us sat by the fire place while everyone else went to bed. Lily and James sat on the couch cuddled up together, Molly sat in the corner chair to the left, Lupin sat in the corner chair to the right, Sirius sat on the floor with his back leaned against the chair, I sat in his lap and Peter sat by the fire place. " Anybody hear that we're getting a ball this year?" Sirius asked " A ball? Where'd you hear that?" I asked " I heard some sixth years at the table talking about it. They said it was the best part of the year" " That sounds cool" " If it happens we should all go together" James said " Yeah, me and James, Molly and Lupin and Odette and Sirius" " Sounds like a plan". We all put our hands in and smiled " And we have to find a date for Peter" Lupin added " Can't I go with Odette or Molly?" " Well Odette and Sirius are best friends it's only right they go together" Lily said " And we already said we'd go together" Lupin said " But don't worry Peter, we'll find you a date".

After breakfast it was time for the first day of classes, my first class was potions with Lily. We walked into Slughorn's class and smiled at him " Lily, Odette my two favourite girls, how are you?" " We're great thank you Professor" " Good, take a seat and this table, it's where my favourites sit" we laughed before sitting down at the table, and were surprised when two more people sat with us. Severus Snape and Tom Riddle, Jesus I have one short interaction with him and he doesn't go away. " You'll be working in pairs today, Severus and Lily, Odette and Tom" he went on as Tom looked at me " Your name is Odette?" " Yes, sorry I never introduced myself. I'm Odette Evans" I said as I stuck my hand out for him to shake which he slowly and unsurely took " I'm Tom Riddle". During class I tried to make small talk with Tom but he wasn't interested " How come you helped me out of the carriage but not my friends?" I asked as I glanced at him, he glared at Lily " I don't touch muggle borns" my eyes opened wide " You don't know if I'm a muggle born" " Are you?" " That's for me to know and for you to find out Riddle".
