Alexander POV:
I was watching this, but not believing. Mina Harker was Echidna. This had to be a cruel joke, a trap and trick to make Alucard weak. There was no way this could happen. This wasn't real, yet here she stood. Her hair was pale blonde, skin as peachy as a living human woman, the only thing that looked out of place were the red irises. Alucard was on his knees, crying, his younger façade long faded. Now, before me, was Dracula, clad in his armor, hair looking eerily like Typhon's, cape draping across his back, the shredded end barely covering his feet.
" Mina. No, this has to be a trick, a lie. My Mina died when Van Hellsing saved her soul, cleansing her of her vampiric gift. You are not my Mina! You can't be!"
His voice held a accent, a broken, sob threatening, cracked one, but it was still there. This was the former prince of Wallachia.
" Vlad, you know the truth, you can feel it. You can see it. I was with Jonathan in a vain attempt to meet you, faking my affections and everything just to see you. And once I met you, oh boy, did I like what I saw. You are one of four monsters made that I didn't create, and I was impressed to find what I did. You reminded me of my Ty here, with only one exception. You lacked the absolute ability to draw me in. You were strong, sure, hell you still are, but you are a mere figment of what my Typhon is. You are strong, absolutely, for a being of someone else's design. But you aren't worthy of being one of my creations, of being neither my child or my servant."
As she drew closer, the form of Mina melted away, and slowly, Echidna became her true self. I was thrown back into a pile of rubble, my blades dropping as I fell.
" You aren't even worth the effort it takes to put a bullet into you to kill you, but hey, never say I'm not an overachiever."
I heard it before I saw it, and once I saw it, time seemed to freeze. Echidna had Alucard's Jackal pressed to his third eye, and the loud, echoless boom of the gun filled my mind. Echidna laughed as Alucard fell to the ground, dropping the gun she used to shoot him, she started to walk over to me. I tried to get up, to scramble and grab my blades, only to feel myself choking, my feet a good meter stick off the ground. I look to see Typhon holding me up with his magic, a sadistic smirk on his sickening face.
" What about this one love? Should we send him back as a messenger?"
" Absolutely. That fanged mistake is deader than the roman empire. You go crawl back to your master and tell her that the true king and queen of monsters is back, and we won't stop until we have the world in the palm of our hands. Not even the Gods and Goddesses of old can stop us. Now, be a good messenger and deliver our declaration."
I was dropped, and as I looked around, I saw that they had vanished. I rushed over to Alucard, and saw that he wasn't getting up, in fact, he looked to be very much struggling to keep his grip on his life. I didn't even hesitate, as I took my knife from my hip, and sliced my hand open, letting my blood drip into his gasping mouth.
As soon as the first drop hit his tongue, his eyes grew wide, and with my help, I sat him up enough to drink from my hand, and to my surprise, he was being careful not to bite me. As I watched the wound on his head heal, the bullet eventually popping out from the wound, he reverted back to his normal form, clad in his signature red coat and all.
" That fucking bitch just made a very fatal mistake. We need to go warn Master about this."
" I wish we had some way of getting a hold of Cerberus and letting him know. Maybe he could help rally the old gods into helping us."
" Agreed. Let's get back to the manor."
" Are you fit to do that? You did just cheat death."
" Are you serious? My exsistance is cheating death. Let's go."
With him gripping my forearm, we melted into the shadows, and made our way back to the manor, with a very terrifying message to pass on.
