The Perfect Match

Lane was walking to class with her books in one hand and her phone in the other trying to text Anna, when she ran into Mat Halens.
"Oh I'm sorry." He said picking up her books and mumbling something.
"It's fine, it's my fault for having too many books." She laughed. Her and Mat had dated a little like 7 weeks ago but, then he dumped her for some other girl on the soccer team. She still loved Mat but, didn't say anything about it, not even to Anna. Mat looked up and caught her staring, and smiled. A real smile, not the fake ones he had put on when they were dating but, a real smile! Lane was confused, after all he had dumped her for well a soccer player. And he was blushing!
"What are you looking at?" He asked even though he knew.
"Nothing, I was spacing out." She said a little too quickly.
Mat laughed and handed her books to her and opened the door to the history room. She smiled and walked in and she could feel someone, hopefully Mat, staring at her butt.
