Sparklings - Autobots

Jack stared at four little sparklings who sat in front of him. They stare back at the human children with their adorable optics full of joy and curiosity.

"What happened...?"

"I wonder..." Ratchet gave a look to Kaia who chuckled nervously.

~Flashback~

"What does this do?"

"Don't touch that Kaia."

"Why?"

"Because I said so."

"Do you need it?"

"Not at the moment."

"Then I guess you shouldn't mind me doing this."

"Huh? Wait... NO KAIA!"

Too late, Kaia pressed a red button. Unfortunately, Optimus, Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Arcee were in the machines range. Everyone was blinded by light. Once they were able to see again, they looked down and gasped at the sight of human toddlers sized sparkling.

~End of flashback~

"Why am I not surprised?" Jack facepalmed.

"It's not that bad, look they're so cute." Miko jumped in and grabbed Bulkhead. She rubbed her cheeks against him. Bulkhead struggled to get out of her hold.

Optimus glanced at Lauren before running towards her. He looked up and smiled. Optimus put his arms up and made a grabbing motion with his servos as if to say, 'pick me up please'. Of course, Lauren wouldn't say no, so she picked him up. Raf had Bumblebee on his back and Jack was holding Arcee.

"Prime!" Everyone heard someone called out. They turned towards the elevator to see Agent Fowler. Kaia inwardly groaned at the sight of him.

"Where is Prime?!" Fowler demanded.

"Seek and you shall find." Ratchet responded, voice full of irritation.

Agent Fowler looked around until he looked down and saw that all the Autobot's except Ratchet were sparklings. He instinctively looked towards Kaia who flipped him off.

"I'm not going to ask..." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "In that case, I'll come back a different time, just turn them back." He went back into the elevator and left.

"Just turn them back." Kaia mimicked, only to get whack in the head with a human sized wrench. "Oi!" Ratchet ignored her and turned towards his working space.

"You five, look after them while I work to on a machine to turn them back." Turning his back towards us, he continued trying to find a solution. "Especially watch them when Kaia is around, knowing her..." He grumbled, ignoring Kaia's offended face.

"rOOd!"

"I don't care."

"Whatever." Kaia pouted before turning to her friends. "So... what now?"

"I don't know." Jack shrugged.

~Time skip~

Lauren's POV

I stared into space, lost in my thoughts. I was snapped out of them when I felt a tug on my sleeve. Glancing down, I stared into innocent baby blue optics.

"Yes Orion?" (Well, since he's a sparkling, he doesn't know who or that he is Optimus Prime).

"Hug pwease." Optimus opened his arms wide open with the biggest smile.

Oh my, please stop Optimus. YOU'RE MAKING MY HEART MELT WITH THAT FACE. WHY PRIMUS WHY?!

I internally screamed as Optimus just stared at me, waiting for his hug. Without hesitation, I picked him up and hugged him gently. He smiled even more and returned the hug happily.

MY HEART CAN'T TAKE THIS!!! Okay Lauren, calm down, just calm down. Take deep breaths... screw it, I'M KEEPING THIS CHILD, HES MINE!

I hugged him even tighter, of course not that tight to hurt him. "Would you like me to read a book to you?" I smiled warmly at him. He nodded quickly, bouncing slightly in excitement.

"Yes pwease!"

I rubbed my nose against his faceplate. He laughed and nuzzled into my shoulder.

I don't know how long my heart can take this. Oh primus please help me.

Kaia's POV

I sat on the sofa, bored. Everyone has someone to look after except me. I probably would if Ratchet turned into a sparkling. I laughed to myself at the thought of Ratchet being a grumpy child. Maybe I should try to turn him into one. Nah, I won't torture him this time. The said bot looked my way with an unimpressed expression.

"You better not be planning something Kaia."

"What makes you think I'm planning something?"

"Because when you laugh like that and to yourself, you're planning something."

I rolled my eyes at his response. "Whatever and no, I'm not planning anything this time." After I responded with that, Ratchet relaxed and went back to working on his machine or whatever. I looked around the room to see what everyone else was doing. Raf and Bee are playing a video game.

Miko is playing horrible rock music to Bulkhead who looked rather terrified. I mean, he's literally trying to cover his audials. Poor child. Jack is showing Arcee pictures. Finally, my eyes stopped on Lauren is holding Optimus. She must be asking him something since he nodded to her. I walked over to them and looked at Optimus who waved at me.

"Hi!" He beamed.

I squealed and went to grab him but stopped when Lauren pulled Optimus to her defensively.

"MINE!"

I pulled back my arms in shock. I've never seen Lauren act like this. After realising what she did, she got embarrassed. Optimus is just looking confused as to what is going on.

"I-I'm s-sorry, I d-didn't mean to yell at you." She stuttered, her face red. I smirked and chuckled.

"Oh no, it's fine. Opti- I mean Orion is yours of course." I teased, pulling on her cheeks.

"S-shup up!" Lauren took five steps away from me and averted her eyes to the side to hide her face. I snickered and walked off while waving.

~Time skip~

No one's POV

"Ah-hah!" Ratchet held up the newly made machine. "I finally finished it, now all of you, place them down together." Ratchet ordered.

Optimus, Bee, Arcee and Bulkhead were placed in front of Ratchet. He then aimed the machine at them and activated it. This cause everyone, like before, to be blinded by the light. When everyone opened their eyes. There stood the once sparklings back to themselves.

"What happened?" Arcee asked.

"You guys were turned into sparklings." Kaia answered. "Wait... do you guys remember anything."

"It seems that we have not, I don't remember anything that happened during my time as a sparkling again." It was Optimus who answered this time. He looked at Lauren questioningly as if asking what actually happened. The only response he got was her blushing and coughing awkwardly.

"I think I remember... I remember Miko playing her guitar." Bulkhead shivered.

"Oh sweet, you wanna hear it again?"

"nO."

"Well, it's time for the children to go back home." Ratchet said, wanting them to leave.

"What? No, we all agreed (except Ratchet) that we would stay for the night!" Miko and Kaia yelled in unison. Ratchet groaned, remembering that Optimus did say they could. He tolerated Lauren, Jack and Raf at least but not Miko and Kaia. He just mumbled a whatever and turned away. Miko and Kaia cheered in victory.

"Yes!"

"YEET!"
