It's been three days of pure bliss in the motel with just me and Miles.

It felt like everything I had dreamt of and more with him.

We were free to do anything we wanted and we did, we barely left our room only to get food.

Right now I'm laying in bed and finally writing in my journal that Miles surprised me with last night.

Miles has been gone for about two hours, stating he had to "handle some business" before kissing me on the forehead quickly.

I had so many questions but I decided against asking and possibly risking an argument.

For last day I've been having a lot of I guess withdrawal from not taking the heavy amount of medication they were giving at the ward. But I haven't said anything to Miles, I don't think he even notices let alone is having the same effects as I am.

I read a newspaper article about the ward and saying that a ton of the patients were in critical condition as well as three being four dead. They never released any names and they blamed the fire on faulty electricity which I found very weird but Miles said that was a good thing for us and they were basically covering it to save face since it such a prestigious institution. They did how ever said that about six of their patients were out on the loose, giving brief descriptions of them (us).

This is where I began to panic and miles simply had me dye my hair to red and he was now a brunette.

"You look good, red." Miles jokingly teased as he towel dried my hair after helping me wash out the dye.

I felt my cheeks possibly turn the color of my new found hair color as I turned away from him.

"Don't be shy babe. Your still the most beautiful girl ever. This is all temporary." He said holding my waist and turning me to face him softly as he nuzzled his nose with mines before giving me a quick gentle peck on the lips.

"I miss your blonde already." I whispered placing my fingers through his hair gently running through it softly.

Miles smiled softly at me as I played with his hair a little more.

There was a ring of the room telephone that brought we out of my thoughts, I quickly jumped up and lunges for the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey beautiful." I hear Miles voice and my heart instantly starts to flutter at just him calling me by my nick name.

"Hi. Where are you?" I questioned quickly, my eyes averting to the door as if someone would be out there.

"I'm on my way, get ready baby. We're outta that shit whole. I got us a new set of wheels and some things. Start getting ready okay." He said his voice sounding a bit winded.

"Wha— where are we going now?" I hesitated to ask.

I hear him lowly huffing away from the phone.

"Babe. I told you I would take care of us." He spoke softly.

"Miles?" I said in a way as in tell me or I will keep asking.

He got the drift and I could feel his smile through the phone.

"We're going to Vermont."

"That's like four hours away Miles!" My voice rising a little before cracking.

"Evie. That's where I have all my belongs and we need that to get out of the country babe." He said clearly giving up with sounding sweet now he was snarky.
