Daddy hasn't regained his memories...

If he were to accept Jenette as the princess, wouldn't that be a miserable path for me?

I sighed. Just the thought of everything that's happened in 'The Lovely Princess' happening all over again gave me the jitters.

Life was boring, yet at the same time too eventful, so I wanted a source of my entertainment to relax a little. Jennette had been cooped up and busy for the past few days, and of course, she'd have no time for me, which I couldn't blame her for.

I understood everything, even if she didn't want to be a part of the whole 'make her a princess' operation.

Peeking into my bedroom from the balcony, I made my way to the drawer. Tip toed and going slowly, but as fast as my legs could carry in this position- only to find Lily and Felix outside, from a small opening of the door.

"I really miss her, Felix- I-I don't know what's going to happen to her or if his majesty is really going to replace her..." Lily sobbed. The tears rolled down her cheeks, yet her cries seemed held back.

The warm expression on Felix's face faded into a frown.

"I-I..." His voice trailed off. "I miss her too."

A prick in my heart gave me a pang of guilt for a split second. Everything had been my fault- I pet Raven in the garden. I got too close to him. I wasn't careful enough.

And because of that, they were in this state.

"She left nothing behind, as if she were never here," Felix said.

"And the royal magician boy has vanished too," Felix sighed. "Not a trace left behind."

And so, a part of me wished Lucas were here. I asked myself over and over- would he be able to fix all this? But of course, he could.

But he wasn't here.

He left. As my only friend "my age", it felt lonely at first. Only lonely. And so, more feelings poured out of my heart- hurt, anger, missing him.

I'd never thought I'd miss him so much. Miss the random visits from the balcony, the times he seemed as if he were a knight in shining armour.

The tear drops seemed to be endless as I rubbed my hands over my eyes. I slowly opened the drawer to grab some of my pens and papers.

I could have bought new ones- or simply made them with magic, but these papers were priceless to me. The same ones I'd been using all along, for my drawings of Dad and me, drawings of everyone.

However, I was surprised at the sight of how nothing was changed in the room. I'd thought that Dad would clear every trace of me out of the Emerald Palace.

"Crr..."

Oh god.

It felt as if my heart stopped, my jaws dropped as my eyes widened. I'd stepped on a creaky floor tile.

Felix turned his attention into the room, alerted by the sound.

"Who's there?"

My heart palpitated- beating against my ribcage as if it were going to pop out any minute.

"A-Athy, wait!"

The distressed cry pricked me a little.

The spell had been too delayed.

They'd already seen me.

Falling to the ground as soon as I materialised on the roof of the palace, I felt as if my legs could bear no more misery. My heart ached as if there were a hole in it. I missed them. I missed them so much. Lily, Felix, Dad, everyone I grew up with, but I was alone.
