Garden; 2155pn

"You look a little tense, Lucas," they were sitting on the bench in the middle of the garden, the different daisies- roses, all kinds of flowers surrounding them. "You're still thinking about it, aren't you?" Athanasia pulled her strand of hair behind her ear, looking to Lucas.

"N-No," he spoke. "You know I'm yours- and yours only," he put his hand over hers, clasping them. "But," Athanasia teased.

"You did scare me back there-"

"Never knew my boyfriend'd be pinned on the ground by my best friend's crush," she looked up to him, a naughty smile plastered on her face. His face seemed to burst into hues of red.

"S-Shut up."

"What were you guys doing, by the way?" They continued walking through the flora and fauna, enjoying the fresh air at the same time. "Well would you like to know," Lucas towered over her from behind, a smirk lingered his face.

"Yeah, I'd like to know," she leaned closer, pouting. Lucas leaned in even closer, before giving her a soft peck on the lips. "Well, we did that." Her face was bright and her eyes were glistening again, as she looked not far behind the garden.

"Hey, hey," Athanasia tugged on his sleeve, pointing to the bright, bustling street outside of the inn's entrance. "45 minutes?"

"45 minutes."

Student's lounge, 2155pm

"I'm so drained of socialising..." Jennette sighed as she flopped herself on the beanbag again, trying to take a good rest while waiting for Athy to come back.

She knew Athy hadn't just gone for a glass of water, of course. The cool air conditioning seemed to soothe all her stress from the week- from visiting her mother too, at least.

The door seemed to creak open, giving her a chill down the spine- in anticipation, she watched as the opening got bigger, only to see white, silver shining hair and a tomato red face. She could clearly hear him whispering to himself. "Did I just kiss a guy? Oh god-"

"God damnit! I was joking- I didn't expect to actually- what if Jennette hears about this- what if Athanasia tells her about Lucas and I- what if-"

"What if?" Jennette looked to the ceiling, asking in a calmed voice. She couldn't picture what the boy's expression would be- terrified, perhaps? "If I told your dad?" She let out a small giggle. After all, they were close since young, with her living with him from the very start.

She could hear an exasperated sigh, "if you told my dad..."

"It's funny, though," Jennette started bursting into laughter- but Ijekiel couldn't help but wonder, even the delicate, gentle Jennette could make a face like this?

He didn't want her to stop. Surely, she was laughing, at him. But her face, the joy and happiness in her bright smile- it was something he rarely saw.

For his whole life, Ijekiel'd grew up with Jennette- treating her like a sister, someone who companied him through his ups and downs. He knew for sure, even though she'd tease him about it, Jennette would never tell on him- after all, it was a joke, he'd never have feelings for Lucas, and Lucas at that- besides, he was straight.

"Reminds me- your dad," Jennette's smile seemed to falter. "Did he ever tell you about my parents?"

"What they were like, who they were?"
