"You're sure you can't come for our finale night, Daddy?"

I pouted, wrapping my arms around my Dad as he sat in his study, finishing his paperwork.

"No, Athanasia. I've got a ton of work to do, but I'll see you when you're back. You've got to learn to live without me, you know," Daddy replied as I then tugged at my stuffed rabbit, dragging my luggage.

"Remember, though. Behave yourself, okay, little brat?"

I glanced back at Daddy before heading out, a determined smile plastered on my face, "okay, Daddy! Love you!"

  "Ding-dong!"

It was the doorbell, "who's that?" Daddy turned around, slightly puzzled. Somewhere in my head, I knew exactly who it was, but Daddy'd kill Lucas the moment he'd find out we were dating- so I had to find a different time to reveal it to him or I'd never make it for the trip- he'd probably ground me or lock me in the house. "O-Oh, it's Lucas- I told him to come and help me since we were," I stopped in my tracks, face bursting into red. "Both in the planning committee..."

My words trailed off the moment his eyes got skeptical. "Not Yoona, not Jennette- Lucas?" He pushed his thin framed spectacles up. "Yes, Lucas," I stood up straight, hoping to slip out.

"I'll get going, then," I sent a peck to his cheek before tugging onto my luggage, heading out.

"Athanasia?"

"Yeah, Daddy?"

I turned around before opening the door.

"Have fun," he spoke. My eyes felt as if they were lighting up at the brightest- my overprotective dad, telling me to have fun at a school trip with hundreds of other kids- it really was a miracle! Perhaps Lucas's presence from outside enchanted Daddy in some way.

"Love you, Daddy," I tweeted. "Love you too."

"Cheesiest father-daughter relationship ever," I walked out to the tall boy with the raven hair who was leaning against the wall of my porch.

"It won't be when he finds out you're my boyfriend," I teased. "He'll slice you to pieces."

"Woah there Princess," he made it seem dramatic, putting his hand to his chest as he said, "I'm getting scared here."

"Give it to me," he pointed to my luggage as I looked up to him. "The bunny or the luggage?"

"Oh, well, I'll take the bunny then."

"You-" I pouted. "Your one and only," his laughter filled the air again- his smile melted into my heart. It felt amazing to be this close to someone- in a romantic way. To be able to love them and make them feel as if they could be themselves as long as they were with you. My face had gone red by the time I'd realised. Lucas took the luggage from me and picked it up effortlessly- maybe he'd used magic, ahem!

"Ready to embark on this, wonderful adventure, Mi'lady?" He joked, holding up his arm as I gladly tugged onto his sleeve. "Of course!"

The skies were still dark, after all, we were supposed to arrive two hours earlier than the rest of the cohort. s

"Lucas, Lucas!" I chirped. "Yes, yes?"

"Make your eyes glow!" I shook his arm as he gave a sigh. "I'm wondering if I'm babysitting a kid or taking my girlfriend to school, you know." He looked to me, eyes glowing in the crimson hues of red.

"You're so pretty..." I was completely, and completely. Mesmerised.

"...should I feel scared or good about that?" A chuckle escaped his lips. However, what he did next surprised me. In a snap of his fingers, all the lamppost lights around us were out.
