ATHY POV

I knew something was wrong- From the moment I stepped off the car in the morning, I knew something was oddly weird about today but, I just couldn't put my finger on it.

But seeing Lucas cry was something really odd- I felt a prick in my conscience.

Had I made him cry? Was it my fault?

I was really scared- really afraid that I was the reason.

I was really scared he wouldn't want to be my friend- maybe because Daddy was the director, or maybe because I was weird or different.

But even by my own words, I felt a pain in my head- it was aching, as if it were a headache, but worse. I could see flashes, as if I was remembering something.

A tall, handsome boy with long and flowing jet black hair- ruby red eyes and a small mole beside his left eye, looking over me. For a moment, I'd thought it was Lucas, but Lucas didn't have long hair, nor did I know of his height or could I see whether he had a mole.

It was a weird occurrence, but I'd shook it off, "L-Lucas, did I make you cry?"

It certainly did feel like- a part of me was missing. And why had it only been when I'd entered the school? "No, no. It wasn't you- I must have hit my head on the table too hard-"

"Lucas, Athanasia. I get that you lovebirds are getting to know each other but, do it another time, please?" Lucas rubbed his eyes, trying to hide the fact that he was crying as he shouted, "sorry, sseam!"

Homeroom went by in a flash- and English had rolled around. Clicking my pen frantically- I couldn't help but feel frustrated at the blank piece of paper staring right back at me.

Question 1: What are your hobbies?

I didn't have many hobbies- I liked almost, everything. Finally thinking of something, I'd written it down as a smile crept into my lips.

I looked over to Lucas, who was dozing off and once again, hood on and head on the table.

"Lucas, Lucas!" I whispered, leaning to his table. Lucas didn't seem to budge. I took a deep breath, and poked his side, causing him to jerk up with his confused, ruby gems staring right at me. "What is it?" He was rubbing his eyes, looking as if he was having a good sleep.

"You're supposed to be doing your work, Lucas!"

"I did. I'm done. Can I sleep now?" Lucas groaned as I looked over to his paper, skeptical. He then passed his paper to me, head back down on the table.

I felt shocked, likewise. It was finished- as if he'd used magic to finish it. Even so, his answers were blunt, short and not thought through. Maybe he really didn't give it much thought, but to each his own.

I'd gently placed his paper behind him at the back of his chair, before resuming my intense staring contest with the paper.

Gosh, this was going to take a long time.
