my life to steer towards.
i want nothing but peace and happiness
because that's all i deserve.

for allowing myself to become a person
that you couldn't recognize.

because if it wasn't for your words
i wouldn't be here typing this.

thank you for not punishing me
even though i deserve nothing but that.
you're allowing me to have a fresh start
and i'm excited for that,

i'm so sorry you had watched me fall apart
even though we spoke constantly,
you tried to even talk to me about the issues
but i pushed them aside
you were right
i'm sorry don't turn your back on me.
your granddaughters back
and she's here to stay.

and finally to you,
thank you so much.
i'll forever be grateful for being pulled out
of a situation that was beyond my grasp.
for if i was in class that fourth period
when would your knowledge and wisdom
feed into my own.
