"Six months ago Pam Anderson (formerly known as Pam Beesly) got married, quit her job, and ran off with her husband Roy. Of course, Dunder Mifflin had to get a new receptionist which led them to Y/N L/N" Jim says to the camera gesturing to the new receptionist.

The camera closes up on the girl and then looks back to Jim who is still staring at her "Yeah, she's great..." He says trailing off

"Hi! I'm Y/N...How I came to Dunder Mifflin..." She looks down in shame "I needed a job so I looked in the paper...and applied to all of them... This was the only one that called me back"

The cameraman says "Jim spoke very highly of you just so you know"

She smiles "He did? I-I'm glad, Jim's a great guy, when I first got here he seemed so depressed all the time but he warmed up to me thank god...thank god"

I pick up the phone and recite "Dunder Mifflin this is Y/N, yes I'll forward you right now" Forwarding the call

I sigh of boredom and get up from my desk, slumping over to Jim's and sitting on the edge of the table, sighing again.

He doesn't give me a second glance which leads me to sigh again, even heavier this time. He focuses on his screen and asks "Do you need something Ms. L/N?

I play with the cuff of my sleeve breathing out heavily "Well I was bored and wanted to talk to somebody but maybe I'll just talk to someone else..."

He cuts me off "Okay, Okay I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you by-"

"Hey, hey, hey you two" Michael interrupts awkwardly, putting a hand on Jim's shoulder

"Hey Michael," I say with a smile, I thought he was an ass before but when you know him for a while you realize how lonely he is.

"Y/N, Y/N, current office hottie since Pam left," He says looking me up and down weirdly "You know, Jim had a thing for her. He told me about it since we're so tight..."

I look at Jim with my eyes widened "Well he never told me this"

Jim is finding his computer mouse very interesting at the moment as Michael walks off to go bug, Ryan. I poke Jim in the shoulder and awkwardly chuckle "So Jimbos got a thing for receptionists' huh?"

He gets up out of his chair and smirks at me "I guess I do" Then walks away

I laugh for a moment then rethink what he says "Wait what?"
