Michael drums his fingers on his desk "Valentine's Day, is one of my favorite days of the year. A day of love for the people around us, and here we all love each other so much. So many possibilities for office romances" He shrugs as if he has some sort of secret with the camera

First Person

I'm usually not much of a Valentine's Day person. I've never really had anything to celebrate on the day.

I put a little jar of heart-shaped lollipops on the edge of my desk. They say the old receptionist put little candies on her but I guess I'm just different.

Jim walks up to my desk, unwraps a lollipop, and rests his forearms on the edge like he always does. He smiles "Hey L/N, liking the candies, strawberry is a favorite"

I smile "Well Valentine's Day seems like a big holiday around here so I decided I may get into the spirit even if I don't like the day myself"

He furrows his brow at me "You don't like Valentine's Day? Miss Heart Lollipop herself?"

I slap his forearm and he raises his hands in defense, I defend "I've just never had a successful Valentine's Day, y'know? Can't seem to keep a guy till February 14th"

He thinks for a bit and then walks away without another word which leaves me confused but I expect he just has work to get back to.

Phyllis had gotten a million Valentine's Day gifts from Bob Vance, it was getting a little ridiculous. Another man came in with more flowers but this time, a much simpler short vase of a dozen white roses came in and I asked "Let me guess, it's for a Phyllis Lapin?"

He shook his head saying "No, this was gifted to a Miss L/N"

I must have looked surprised because he checked again and I said "Oh! Thats me don't worry"

I sign for the flowers and set them down next to me reading the card,

'Hey L/N, know you're not a 'Valentine's Day' person, but if you meet me at Olive Garden tonight maybe I can change that'

A familiar face comes up and looks over the edge as I admire my flowers. I look up and can't hold back my grin while he unwraps another lollipop.

He nonchalantly looks at my flowers and says "Oh, looks like you got some flowers here very nice and understated..."

I shake my head at him "Yeah I love them, and guess what I got this card that told me to go to Olive Garden tonight but it doesn't say what time, such a shame..."

He chuckles "Flip over the card"

I flip it over to see the time stamp 6:30 on the back.

I giggle "I guess I'll be at Olive Garden at 6:30"

He starts walking backwards "I guess you will"

Dwight exclaims, "Jim, get back to work this is the Fifth time you have visited Ms. L/N's desk today. I will write you a referral if it turns to six!"
