Dawns POV
"So what's the plan? Tell her you like her? A grand gesture you to show you care?" I ask Nicky who had just gotten back from cooking class.
He shrugs "I don't know yet, everything I come up with just doesn't seem good enough"
Britt walks up to us "Hey guys!"
I see Nicky stiffen out of the corner of my eye while I reply "Hey Britt!"
"I have a favor to ask of you Nicky," Britt says, turning himself towards my brother "It's about my date with Y/N tonight"
Before Nicky can respond I say "Shoot Britt"
"Well, I told Y/N I was going to get us dinner, and Nicky since you are such an amazing chef I was wondering if you could cook us some of your amazing vegetarian dishes," Britt asks, holding his hands together dramatically.
This time Nicky beats me to the punch but surprises me by saying "I would love to!"
I furrow my brows at him
Britt nods sincerely "Fantastic! I assume you know what she likes so I'll leave the menu entirely up to you"
Nicky has an evil grin on his face which I know can't be good.
"You got it, Britt," Nicky says and Britt walks off.
I glare at him "What do you think you're doing? Yesterday you were glaring daggers at that guy and now you're willing to cook him a meal for a date with the girl YOU like?"
He rubs his hands together "Let's just say I have a surprise in store"
~Later~
I had explained everything to Ricky and he was suspicious of Nicky as well. We walked back into the store and saw Nicky at a booth writing something down on paper.
We share a nod and sneak around behind him to where he can't see us. It looked like he was writing the menu for Britt and Y/N's date.
"Cilantro paste on eggplant? Y/N hates Cilantro!" Ricky exclaimed shocking Nicky.
I nod "And French Onion Soup? You know Y/N can't stand the texture of onions!"
He nods with that evil grin again
"And... Raspberry Mousse! You know Y/N is allergic!!!" Ricky and I say at the same time.
Nicky laughs maniacally "It will have just enough real raspberry to gain a small coughing fit from her which I come in with an EpiPen to save today"
"And Y/N won't question that you made the meal?"
"If Britt brings that up I will show him the different bags and say I was too busy to make the meal myself," Nicky says, impressed with himself.
"Nicky you can't!" I yell
Ricky nods "We both want you to get with Y/N but not like this"
Nicky stands up and faces us "And what are you going to do about it?"
Nicky walks away and me and Ricky are left in shock. We've never seen Nicky act like this before. I looked to Ricky and he looked to me at the same time. We needed to come up with a plan, and fast.
~
We are hiding behind the counter, we just saw Nicky walk out of the shop and drop the bags here.
Me and Ricky load up the bags with foods Y/N likes and take the "gross" food for ourselves
