The Infinity
Samantha MoonAndrew and I returned from Energy, and despite what Energy said about our friends needing us, I needed to take the time to check in on Nevermore, after all I haven't been there for almost the entire week since the battle against Arnold Kenway, I hoped that they were holding up well after the battle.
We approached the outer boundary and was instantly met with a trio of guards, they all were wearing Nevermore armour and held bow and arrows with fully stocked quivers on their backs, all three were riding horses.
They didn't raise their weapons, they recognized Andrew and I instantly.
"Ms. Moon? You've returned?" The Captain asked me.
I nodded and smiled. "Only for a visit, is Thalia around?" I asked approaching the guards on horseback, the Captain held out a hand to help me up, I grabbed her hand and she pulled me right up to the horse with her, I sat behind her and she spoke.
"Yeah, she's in the village. Does your friend want a ride too?" The Captain asked looking over at Andrew.
Andrew had his palms open and pointed down to the ground, suddenly his body started glowing gold, he floated a foot off the ground before the gold faded and he floated back to the ground. He looked up at the guards and me.
"Don't worry about me, I should probably be practicing this anyway" Andrew spoke, the golden glow appearing again as he began to float after us. We moved at a slow pace allowing me to start a conversation.
"How you doing there Andrew?" I asked looking over to the glowing man, he appeared to be struggling, constantly waving his arms and legs around and spinning unintentionally.
"It's- actually more difficult then you'd think. It's kinda like being in a harness but actually controlling how you move with your mind and your limps. This was much easier in the Energy Realm" Andrew spoke.
I nodded. "I noticed that too, after using my Core in that realm I felt weaker when we returned, do you think we were stronger in the realm? Like there's an actual science to it?" I asked Andrew.
Andrew shrugged. "I mean, makes sense to me, the realm is created by the same crystal that created our Cores, I do feel weaker, but more along the lines of that its harder to focus on my powers. In the Energy Realm I was able to juggle all eight elements without even batting a eyelash, here I can barely focus on one or two at a time."
"Eh, you'll get there Andrew, just need more practice" I shrugged.
"Yeah" Andrew answered. "Your probably right"
"Hey" I spoke up to the Captain. "Thanks for the ride"
The Captain shrugged, her two guards keeping pace beside her. "Don't worry about it Ms. Moon"
"How's Thalia doing with the whole, you know, leadership thing?" I asked to the Captain.
"She's doing fine, good, great even, but she's no Moon. Not that you really did a wonderful job leading us but-"
"Um, what?" I asked interrupting her.
"I'm kidding of course" The Captain laughed. "Thalia is doing really good, especially with the threats of attacks coming our way"
We reached the front entrance of the village, Andrew floated to the ground and I got off the horse.
"What threats of attacks are these?" I asked with concern, if Thalia- or if Nevermore were in danger then someone should've came to alert the Spies. I jumped off the horse and straight into the camp, Andrew following me closely behind. I saw that they've built up some new houses in only the week that I was absent. However it didn't shift my focus, I found Thalia outside of my mother's prayer room speaking to a commander.
