Destroyed
Jack TurnerIzzy and I reappeared in the middle of the woods, I wasn't entirely sure where we were.
"Izzy? This isn't-"
"I know" Izzy answered. "I'm still new to the whole teleportation thing, I think we're just down the path, just be grateful that we didn't appear inside of a tree or something" Izzy smirked.
I nodded, walking up the dirt path, I have faint memories of this pathway, I think I remember walking it with Albert, John and Izzy when they found us in the woods. I knew it would take us a few minutes to reach the Village from here, so i took this as a opportunity to finally speak with Izzy.
"Tell me, what's going on?" I asked.
Izzy shrugged and avoided eye contact. "I- I'm fine Jack" She spoke rubbing her shoulders a little.
"Bullshit, tell me what that bitch did to you" I grumbled. "We agreed to tell each other this shit, I want to help you Izzy" I spoke stopping where I stood. She stopped as well, and turned to face me.
"She went into my mind, she, I don't know. She says that there was darkness inside of me."
i rolled my eyes. "She was just trying to get into your head"
Izzy shook her head. "She created Kara, it was all fake, a trick"
I actually felt a chill down my spine from that one. "Christ" I mumbled.
Izzy nodded. "She made me see the Battle Of Tony Blade, but she showed me something that I don't remember happening, it was Tony, speaking to me. Telling me that he left a piece of his madness inside of me" Izzy mumbled.
"And you believe that psycho!"
Izzy nodded. "It felt real Jack" She spoke sadly. I grabbed her and pulled her close, I didn't believe a word that psycho said, but I do believe Izzy.
"I think I went inside of her mind too" Izzy mumbled.
"What?" I asked.
"It wasn't until after she left and you arrived. I must've entered her mind without even meaning too or wanting too. I saw just how crazy she is, she doesn't give a shit about whatever Echo is promising her. She just wants to watch the world burn"
"So what? You think she'll betray Echo?" I asked.
"I don't know" Izzy spoke letting go of me and smirking. "But it sure would be nice for the bad guys to deal with each other for a change"
I smiled. "No kidding"
We continued down the path for a few moments. I started speaking again.
"You really shouldn't worry about that Izzy, I understand if its stressing you out. But Stitches is only trying to mess you up because she knows your one of our best chances against Echo. Same reason they targeted Ace, they want the Spies out of the picture. Without us the Dome and all of its people are screwed" I explained.
Izzy nodded. "I know, but I do think part of what Stitches said was real, my powers are becoming more and more uncontrollable. I need to grapple with how to use them safely, or I could be a threat to you and the team"
I grabbed her arm and pulled her close again, kissing her gently.
"You are one of the strongest people I've ever met, you'll get through this" I whispered. "I'll be here with you every step of the way"
I let Izzy go and started walking up the path again.
"Thanks for coming with me by the way" I spoke just as we reached the clearing of the Sorcerer's Village. At first, it didn't click at what happened, I thought maybe we were just in the wrong place.
