Chapter Twenty

Izzy and I teleported into the large grassy open field before the City. The wind was intense as we found ourselves standing next to the others. Andrew, Sam, John, Tyler and Ace were all there, all five of them watching Echo.

Echo stood far across the field from us, holding the Staff Of Knowledge in his hands, he had his eyes closed as the crystal glowed.

"Status update?" I asked, all of us watching Echo. The distant sounds of gunfire and explosions from the City was nothing compared to what was taking place earlier, both sides are running out of ammo and men. It was now or never to end this shit.

"He teleported in not two minutes ago. He's just standing there" Tyler explained.

"Bonding with the Crystal is my assumption" Andrew remarked squinting his eyes a little.

Ace was interacting with a control screen on his arm as he spoke.

"Crazy energy signatures coming off of him, Andrew's right the guy is earning the Staff's trust" Ace explained.

"So we finish this-" I spoke taking a step forward before John grabbed me by the arm.

"Daniel?" He asked. I looked back at John without answering.

"He just vanished in a turquoise glow we think-" John trailed off when I shook my head. The others all seemed to understand what I meant by that, earning several shakes of heads in sadness. Izzy didn't respond, she kept her focus on Echo.

"We deal with Daniel after, now we need to end this shit" I spoke looking around at everyone. They all raised their weapons and readied for my command.

"Let's get this son of a bitch" I mumbled. Andrew lit up gold and took off into the air, flying straight for Echo in a golden glow, the rest of us going into a full sprint to keep pace.

Echo Thatch
I opened my eyes, and it was like I was seeing for the first time. The Spies were running right for me, all of them acting as one, and yet I was prepared.

Andrew was first, flying straight at me with a insane amount of speed, I leaned to the left and punched him right in the jaw as he flew by, his energy glow burning my skin but my healing made quick work of it. 

Next was Ace, who before was running alongside his allies but was now flying as well, letting the Knowledge Crystal take the wheel I dodged a barrage of energy blasts and tossed the Knowledge Crystal like a javelin. It landed right in his shoulder blade, causing him to crash down to the ground and repair.

The rest were on me now. Sam jumped at me with stone fists the size of hammers, I caught her by the throat and tossed her at Jack, who had fists full of fire. John appeared firing off several rounds directly into my chest, knocking me back but barely even stunning me. I teleported John away onto Tyler, who was nearby aiming a electrical gun. Finally there was Izzy, who I turned towards to face, but she grabbed me with her telekinesis.

I smirked. I teleported myself right onto her, making her loose her grip on me, I went to punch her right in the chest, she made a small force field over her chest in the nick of time which absorbed most of the blow, still my punch knocked her over to the ground.

The Spies were all recovering from their onslaught of attacks, some hurt more then others, all of them were pissed at me.

"Your'll never be enough for me!" I taunted "You really think you can stop everything I've worked for!" I spoke watching as a few of them got back to there feet, none of them attacked me, waiting to attack together.
