"The Wolves (Act I and II) -Bon Iver

     "Wini."

Wendy stood there as her brother began to tread lightly into the house. The man stood at six feet tall, hair unruly as it was from days ago. He wore different clothes but the same boots adorned his feet. The jacket was long, pants ripped at the knees, and a long sleeve shirt covered in dirt.

"Where have you been, Bo?" She whispered.

He took another step, sighing before answering, "I know I have been gone longer then I said I was going to be but-"

Wendy cut him off, "Yeah, no shit Sherlock. Do you know how terrified I've been? Whether you were ever comin' back?"

He rolled his eyes, "Of course I was coming back. I just got a little sidetracked."

She crossed her arms over her chest, "Oh, I know what you've been up to, Bo Walker. Trading again! Gods above, if you weren't my brother I would have-"

"You would have what? Gotten rid of me, Wendelin? If it weren't for me you would be-"

"Stop!" She screamed, hands going over her ears, "Don't say it. I told you to never bring that shit up again," he took a step toward her but Wendy held out a hand to stop him, "I don't want to fight. I just want to spend one last night with my brother before he leaves."

The confusion on his face was evident, "I'm not leaving again for a while, Wini. I promise you that."

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Bo Walker."

Adam stepped out of the shadows. Wendy looked between both men, arms at her side as her hand twitched from nerves. She shivered, either from the cold sweeping in from the open front door or her fever. Adam, noticing this, made his way to the front door, locking it shut.

"Wini," Bo commanded, "get behind me."

Wendy made a move, but it wasn't toward her brother. A small step was taken and it was toward her mate, making Adam let out an inaudible breath.

"Bo Walker," Adam started, "You are hereby sentenced to trial by the Alpha of Colorado state to attest to your number of crimes against your people. This includes the illegal trading of black market goods and slaughter. Do you know your rights?"

The couple watched as Bo stood there in shock. The three of them waited for someone to make the first move that was inevitable. Not long after did Bo jump into action, sprinting out the front door, shifting into his sandy blonde wolf, leaping off the front porch.

Adam sighed, shifting into his dark brown wolf as he followed after Bo's running form. Shredded clothes were left as a trail from the foyer to the porch. Wendy watched with wide eyes as the men left her behind.

Wendy watched as her mate jumped onto her brother's back, embedding sharp claws into Bo's shoulder. Wendy rolled her eyes at the thought of having to patch that up later. Bo yelped in pain, snarling as he tried throwing Adam off his back.

The action only made Adam more ferocious. Usually, Adam loved nothing more than to tussle around but with his mate watching not far off behind, it only showed a bad taste for both he and Bo. Adam felt pathetic and embarrassed.

Bo kicked his legs around like a bull, trying to fly Adam off him. He continued to flail like a fish out of water, trying to relieve the pressure from Adam's nails from his shoulders but that only made Adam press harder.
