I laugh at the jokes these white people telling. It wasn't funny but I just wanted to hear if they liked my photo or not. They are the CEO of some swimsuit brand that was big in Cali. It was a white woman and two white guys. They worked for the brand "For all bodies." I was stoked. This is big and I was anxious for an answer.
"We absolutely love your pictures and we are eager to add you to the family. What do you say Tamera?" Says the white lady. I smile the widest smile I could ever make.
"Excuse my language but is a hell yes from me. Thank you so much!" I said excited. Todd clapped and so did I.
"Yes we will be emailing you within the next week to get you into our early fall swimsuit line. Since it's always hot in LA baby we gotta keep the bathing suits fresh." She said while laughing.
"We shall get going." Said the third guy.
"Well thank you all. I am very glad to be welcomed into the family." I give them all except Todd light hugs as the three walk away.
" Thank you so much Todd. I couldn't do it without you." I said hugging him.
"No girl it's all cause of your face. Thank your parents for them good genes child." Todd said while sipping his wine. I had no parents. They were gone. I felt instantly sad but I ignored the feeling by taking a sip of my wine as well.
Todd's phone buzzed. "Ugh. It's my damn wife. Don't she understand I'm making money moves. I'll be right back." Todd walks away.
I stand there and sip my wine since I know no one at this damn party.
"Wow beautiful picture." I look up and it's Bella Hadid admiring my portrait.
"That means so much coming from an idol like you. Thank you." I said feeling like a million bucks. Damn was my shit that good?
She nods her head and walks away. I can totally get used to this. Soon everyone will know my name. I'm going to speak that into existence.  Believe that.
"T-Tammi..." I hear a voice that is all too familiar. I turn around from admiring my picture and it's Breezy. It took everything in my body not to throw this damn wine in his face.
Yes he thought I was dead because of that bitch. But why did he have to move on? I have the right to be selfish right now. I felt things with him I never did before. He moved on to a bitch I thought that was my best friend.
I take a long sip of my wine and finish it before I answer. "Hello 600Breezy."
"I thought you we-" I cut him off.
                                "Dead?!" I whispered.
"This is a miracle -" I cut him off once more not wanting to hear the shit.
"Yeah it's a miracle that I'm alive. But it is also a miracle that when I was in a coma for 4 years , even though my eyes were closed God opened them for me. You moved on. You got Meeka pregnant and are going to marry her. Y'all forgot about me. Y'all lied on my damn life. Y'all foul." I was beginning to get angry and now I no longer was feeling this party.
I sat the empty wine glass on the table near me. I begin to walk to   the door with Breezy on my tail.  I tried to lose him but boy these heels were uncomfortable.
I kept on walking and finally passed all the groupies and shit outside and he still stayed on my tail.  I stood by the curb trying to flag down a taxi. I didn't drive the Nissan tonight since I carpooled with Todd. I didn't even feel like calling him to tell him I was ready to go. I'll just get my own ass home on my own.
