Life without Gus: some infinities end

Chapter 2

A.N: Jake Lerman(picture above) plays Jake Price in my story. (I picked the name before I found who played him!) This is chapter two and I'm really excited about it so I hope you guys like it:)

I was driving to school in my blue Camry with a haze that wouldn't go away. I felt like I missed out on something, like I lost something special. I think it was because of that Jake guy, but that's impossible! I just met him how can I possibly be in love with someone I barely had a dialogue with! How dare he make me feel this way.

Your letting yourself feel this way Hazel.

"OH SHUT UP!" I screamed at my self.

What am I doing? Im driving myself crazy about something that doesn't matter! Now, I'm gonna go to school and forget about what happened this morning.

I slammed the door shut to my car and walked into the school doors. When I felt someone grab my wrist.

"Hey Hazel! I got you your favorite, caramel Maki Otto with extra whip cream!" Leslie said handing me a starbucks cup.

Leslie is my best friend. We met last year around the time I was dating Gus. She has reddish brown hair and brown eyes.

"Thanks Leslie." I said taking the coffe.

"I thought you didn't like coffe?" I heard a male voice say as I turned.

Of course. Jake stood there watching me sip my COFFE.

"Um yeah about that I uh-" I started.

"You lied? You lied because, you didn't want to go out with me. It's cool I understand." He said turning to walk away.

"No! No, it's not because I don't want to got out with you, I mean who wouldn't wanna go out with you? I mean ugh I'd go out with you but that doesn't mean I'm ready. If that makes any sense?" I said with a half grin.

"Ok, so friends it is." He said smiling sticking his hand out for me to shake it.

"Okay. Friend." I said shaking his hand.

okay. Let me just say when I touched his hand it was like wow, no it was WOW. I'm not really sure what just happened but it felt like magic.

I held his hand for a while then let go snapping out of my trance.

"Okay so since we are friends, do you want to get coffe after school?" I asked him.

"Sure. I'll meet you in the front of the school, 3:00." He said smiling once more before walking away.

I turned realizing Leslie had been there the whole time.

"Okay um what the hell just happened?" Leslie said turning to me with a annoyed yet proud look on her face.

"That's Jake and I guess we're friends." I said saying nothing else only walking away to my first class.

Okay is it bad that all I could think about during school is my date with, uh I mean.....hangout....session... With Jake? I keep thinking about what I'm going to say and how I'm gonna act, all these thoughts are taking over my brain! I try to think about math class and this is what happens;

Yes, I just wrote x is equal to "Jake". Can someone please explain what the heck is wrong with me?!
