Jake and I walked into the hospital waiting room and sat down, I think he could tell I was nervous because he pulled me into a hug and began stroking my hair. It seriously felt so nice to be in his arms, it felt like anything was possible.

"Miss Hazel Lancaster." Said my doctor Maria as she walked through the door.

"That's me." I said standing up, pulling Jake along.

"I'm sorry Hazel but only family is aloud in the cat scan room." She looked at Jake as if her eyes were daggers.

"Oh okay." I said squeezing Jakes hand then letting go of it.

She lead me into a room with a machine with a monitor on it. I think that was used to see if you had cancer.

"Ready for the catscan?" She said to me.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I whined.

She hooked the machine up to me and then she began looking at the monitor. I had no idea what any of it meant so I jut sat there playing with my finger nails.

When she was done she sat there for a moment looking at me.

"So is my cancer back?" I asked her worried what the answer would be.

I sat there for about twenty minutes waiting for Hazel to come out. I was fiddling with my fingers and tapping my foot up and down. I couldn't help but fidget, I was so worried I didn't know how to react.

Then I saw her. She came out of the doors and jumped onto me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"It's back Jake, my cancer is back." She cried into my shoulder.
