"It's alright Fiona, if dragon is back we need to leave now!" Charming decided. Turning to Donkey he wore a worried look, not sure if he should trust him or not. "Is fairy godmother planning any traps donkey?"

Donkey thought for a moment then shook his head. "No? Well I mean I'm not too sure? She hasn't told me anything?" Fiona looked to charming. "In that case we need to be careful then." Donkey sighed. "I really wish I could be of more help I really do, but she hasn't told me anything like that."

Charming put a finger to his chin and thought for a moment. "Should we make a plan?" Fiona shook her head. "I don't think we would have enough time, we should leave as soon as possible!" Charming' nodded. "I agree, let's get Butters and hoof it!"

Fiona whistled and Butters came running out of the barn. Mounting Butters they took off through the forest. "Any idea were to go?" Fiona asked charming. Charming thought for a moment.

"I might just know a short cut through the forest. Keep up Donkey" Donkey nodded. "Let's go!" Charming shouted as he pulled on the reigns.

Donkey ran behind Butters, his mind whirling. I'll be watching you...I'll be watching you...I'll be watching you. Fairy godmother's voice rang through his head. He hadn't told Fiona and Charming what fairy godmother told him to say.

He hasn't really obeyed what she's told him. What's this feeling I'm feeling in my chest? He thought. F R E E D O M. He felt freedom!

Donkey smiled and kept up his pace. Maybe when things get better I can live peacefully in the castle! He slowed down as the stopped at another large bushy forest.

"This is the quickest way.." Charming muttered. Fiona looked a head then down to Donkey who was looking down at the ground.

"Donkey?" Donkey jumped as Fiona said his name softly. "Are you ok?" Donkey nodded. "Don't worry about me Princess! I'm fine!"

Fiona nodded as charming pulled the reigns again. As they went through the forest, it started to smell Smokey, it didn't smell like brimstone.

It just smelt of fire. "Do you think there's a bush fire ahead?" Fiona whispered to charming. Charming thought for a moment then looked at the sky. "I don't think so?"

He turned his head and looked at Fiona "but we are almost to the castle!" Fiona smiled cheerfully as Charming pulled on the reigns. Butter flew through the forest as fast as her legs could go.

Donkey keeping a steady speed behind them. Closer and closer till they finally got out of the forest where Butters came to a complete halt. A half way gasp came out of Fiona's mouth.

The stood at the edge of a cliff that over looked the kingdom, sadness swelled up in Fiona's heart.

Donkey sadly walked out from behind them with his ears dropping. He looked up to Fiona who was wide eyed before looking back down.

"My..my home..what's happened to my home.." she wheezed. Apart from the forest, the castle was hazy, small fires burned around the castle, villagers destroyed, windows broken.

"My parents!" Fiona remembered before getting of Butters. "We have to go inside and find them! They could be hurt!" Before charming could answer Fiona started running toward the castle.

Charming pulled the reigns and scooped Fiona up behind his back before leading Fiona down the cliff, donkey watched them go. He stayed put, not knowing whether to follow them or not.

"No," he said to himself. "They'll need me, I must go!" He jumped of the cliff and bolted after them. Together they all ran up the stairs of the palace.

Fiona and charming got off Butters and slowly walk to the door, everything was eerily quiet. Apart from the distance cracking of fire. Slowly but hesitantly Fiona pushed open the door, even in side the castle everything looked destroyed.

Donkey stopped beside them and looked around shocked, what had fairy godmother done!? A low cackle came from in front of them, fairy godmother emerged from the darkness toward them.

"Welcome to my home!" She announced. "You're home?" Fiona dared to ask. "You don't own this castle! It belongs to my parents!" Fairy godmother threw her head back and gave an evil laugh.

"Parents? Say, Donkey didn't tell you then did he?" Fiona and Charming turned to Donkey confused "tell us what?" They said together. Fairy godmother smirked. "They're dead!" She announced wickedly before erupting in an evil laugh again.

"Dead?" Fiona stumbled backwards to have Charming stop her from falling. "Mum..dad..gone.." Donkey looked at fairy godmother who was grinning with the most amount of evilness donkey had ever seen.

"Donkey was meant to pass on that message, such a shame he didn't tell you sooner" she laughed. Fiona turned to donkey "you knew?" She gasped breathlessly. Donkey shook his head "I didn't want anything to do with it!" He told them.

"I wanted freedom as soon as fairy godmother had her guard drag them back!" Fairy godmother narrowed her eyes at Donkey. "You want to know how they died?" She taunted.

Fiona looked at her, fairy godmother pointed a fat finger toward donkey. Donkey gasped in terror as she lied. "He killed them." Charming turned to donkey "I'll kill you!" Charming snarled. "I'll rip your insides out and feed it to the birds!"

Donkey shrunk back in panic "I- it- I didn't- she's lying! They're still alive! They're under the castle in the dungeons!" Fairy godmother used her wand to drag donkey to her eye level.

"Traitor!" She spat. Before throwing donkey across the room. "They May still be alive, but you'll never find them!" She laughed.

Below the castle, Harold and Lillian desperately tried to pick the lock on the cell. Dragon was dead to the world after eating the entire live stock in the last three towns and gave no signs of waking at anytime.

"Hurry Harold!" Lillian whispered harshly. Harold grinned as the lock fell on the Stoney floor. "Let go find our baby." Lillian smiled looking into her husbands eyes. Harold smiled and nodded. Before they left hand in hand out of the cell.

"I didn't want anything to do with this!" Donkey wheezed from across the room. "Hush mule!" Fairy godmother demanded. "Now" she purred. "What should I do with you?"

Fiona stood rigged in the centre of the room, looking down at her wrists that were chained together, charming struggled to get to her. One of fairy godmother's guards had him in a tight grip and didn't plan on letting him go.

"How about I send you to live with your brother?" She laughed. "Enough!" Fiona snapped "I don't have a brother! Stop trying to get into my head!"

Fairy godmother laugh "oh dear, I haven't nearly begun that yet! Such a shame, your brother was very very handsome too." She gripped her wand tightly as it started to power up.

"Dead shall be brought upon this person at my command!" Fairy godmother spoke loudly. Lillian stopped, panting hard as she put her hand on the stoney stair case wall. "Go on without me Harold, I'll catch up."

"Don't you think like that, you're still coming with me." Lillian shook her head with her hand on her chest wheezing. "I'm slowing us down my love, save her" Harold kissed Lillian's head and hurried up the stoney stair case.

"Say hello to your brother for me" she laughed. He wand started powering up, purple sparks escaped the wand as the full power was drawing closer.

Fairy godmother flicked her wand as a ball of purple magic shot out towards Fiona. Time seemed to go slowly as that ball of magic drew near. In the corner of Fiona's eye she saw movement before she was sharply pushed out of the way.

A loud painful scream came out of the mouth of the thing that pushed Fiona out of the way. Fiona sat up and looked over in horror. Fairy godmother equally looked shocked.

Harold stopped at the door way panting hard, Lillian came up slowly behind him with eyes stretched wide.

As the thing who shoved Fiona out of the way was Donkey.
