'' Hey, I'm Akali. '' Akali shakes hands with Talon who's still clueless about what's going on. '' Are you Ionian as well? '' She asks him but her eyes are locked on mine.
'' Ionian? '' Talon exclaims. '' as well?! Can anyone explain to me what's happening here? '' Talon requests looking towards me trying to catch my gaze. I avoid any eye contact with him because I don't know from where to start explaining everything that happened to my brother.
Claiming to belong to another tribe is a big sin for Du Couteaux. The only thing which would make Talon forgive such a lie is knowing the truth behind it, my actual purpose, proving my innocence for my father, Noxus, and Demacia.
'' He isn't Ionian. He is from Noxus. Talon Du Couteaux, '' I try to cover for myself. '' This is Akali from Ionia, the land which I come from. '' I point to Akali pretending to introduce the two of them to each other, hoping Talon will cover it for me from here.
'' Nice to meet you, Talon. '' Akali shakes hands with Talon again. But he doesn't say a word. He stands there blankly looking at me.
'' Did he join the Demacian trainings? '' Akali asks me and I hate her questions. I never answer for this woman, and every time she starts speaking, I can feel the danger behind each question she asks.
'' No way! '' Talon uncontrollably shouts. '' There is no way in hell I'd join the Demacian trainings. '' He continues after he clears his throat. '' I came to see my friend, Garen. '' I hear his answer and I hope he started getting into the role besides me.
'' Your friend? '' Akali keeps questioning us. '' Since when Garen makes friendships with people from the land which murdered his father? '' I can feel her trying to trap Talon.
'' That was before the undesired accident happens my love. '' Talon winks at me. I just hope he is aware of her bad intensions.
'' Oh really? Then why it's the first time I see you in here? '' Akali stands tall in front of Talon and her tone gets more serious.
'' Look sweetheart, '' Talon is as annoyed as I am from Akali's questions. But he doesn't remain quiet like I do. Talon's rule number one is: if you feel something, say something. '' First of all, I don't have to answer any of your questions. And second, if you have any concerns about Garen's safety you can ask him the reason behind our friendship, not me. ''
Akali stands between me & Talon for a while, suddenly the main gate of Demacian training platform slams open. I turn to see Garen coming towards us. In full energy which I didn't expect after I injured him.
'' You came on the right time Garen. '' Akali speaks loud enough for Garen to hear her words.
'' What's going on here? '' The way he responds to Akali shows how he is angry at her. I don't know what happened between the two earlier, and I don't even try to know what was it. But from Garen's reaction, that problem isn't solved yet between him & Akali.
'' Katja's friend came to visit her. '' Akali points out at the main thing which worries her.
'' Is everything alright? '' Talon asks Garen pointing at his shoulder.
'' Yeah. Everything is great. '' Garen pretends he didn't understand that Talon was specifically asking about the injury.
'' What's that then? '' Talon insists. Garen looks at his shoulder & how the redness didn't fade away, nor the wound.
'' Cat scratch. '' Garen laughs with Talon. His answer surprises me, why would he hide what happened from Talon if they were friends? I can tell from Akali's expressions how she's as surprised as I am. But unlike myself, she doesn't like the joke which Garen just said.
'' That must be a strong cat. '' Talon's eyes are roaming between me & Garen which makes me uncomfortable.
'' Since when he is your friend? '' Akali gets straight to the point trying to find an answer for her nosey questions.
Akali asks Garen about Talon trying to confirm what he told her earlier. From one side, I am glad she diverted the subject from Garen's injury to their secret friendship which I didn't know about as well. And from the other side, I fear she would expose my brother's lie.
'' Since forever. '' Garen says with complete confidence. '' Talon & I are very close friends. Why? ''
'' What? '' This time I cannot hold my surprise within me. '' Since when? '' I don't expect Garen to say anything to me because I do not owe him any explanation. But my brother, he should have a strong argument which will defend his current situation.
'' We're both leaders at our tribes. '' Garen shows off. '' What'd you expect? '' He moves towards Talon and wraps his arm around Talon's neck.
'' And I thought I am the one hiding things from you. '' I breath out. Not that I wanted Talon to hear this but unfortunately, he does.
'' Come with me. '' Talon drags me out of the training platform.
