once we were dismissed i couldn't be more ready to get out of that class
i walked down the hallway to jonah's class and stood outside waiting for him to come out
why did zach have to move here? why? at least he hasn't seen me yet
"jas?" jonah said, breaking my chain of thought "jonah, new person, i know the new person!" i said really fast
"what how do you know?" jonah asked me looking confused "he was in my class, but it turns out that i do know him"
"what's his name?" jonah asks as we start walking down the corridor and out of the building
"zach, i went to the same high school as him, he's the guy i told you about" i have told jonah about what happened with zach but i never actually mentioned a name
"oh you mean the one that 'lost feelings for you'" he said using air quotes for the last part
"yeah and i thought i'd never have to see him again but now he's here he's gonna recognise me and everything is gonna go horribly wrong" i say, starting to ramble on
"jas it's gonna be okay, you left la to get away from it all maybe he got the message and will stay away from you?" jonah said and i nodded and smiled
we were sat at a picnic table that was just outside of the food place. i open my bag and pull out a sandwich
me and jonah talk and eat for a while, then suddenly i see a group of guys walk past and one of them is zach
i quickly put my head down "jonah! he's over there" i say and nod my head in the direction of zach, he ever so slightly turns his head so he was looking at zach and then he turns back to me
"okay he's gone now you can put your head up" jonah says and i let out a breath i had been holding and return to my original position
"he seems to have already got himself a friend group" jonah says and i nod "who was he with?" i ask
"corbyn besson and his little gang" jonah told me "oh well zach's gonna become a fuckboy like the rest of them then" i say and me and jonah laugh
"it's true though, he will become a fuckboy" jonah says after we stop laughing
