this is a really long chapter and towards the end there is quite a few pov changes but hopefully you'll enjoy it!

"dinners ready" jeff said and lead us into their dining room and i sat next to jonah

(this is kinda how they would be sat)

they have prepared us tacos and let me say they are the best tacos i have ever tasted

"these are good" i say to jonah and he nods "definitely" he says before taking another bite

everyone was just in the process of getting to know each other and i was listening to the conversations taking place

mine and daniel's eyes briefly met for the first time, i have been trying to avoid eye contact since he arrived, he gave a small smile so i returned an awkward smile

"how about you kids get to know each other while we talk about our parent things?" keri says to us and anna nods "sure but mom, we're not kids"

keri laughs and leaves us in the living room while the adults all go and sit in the kitchen

"sooo" anna says and i smile "anyone want some snacks or maybe some pepsi?"

"yeah can you get some pepsi and those watermelon sweets i like" daniel asks and anna nods before leaving to go and get them

"so daniel tell me about yourself" jonah says and i mentally cringe, i should've told jonah that this is the daniel i was friends with

"erm well you've already met my family, i'm at college and i have a small group of friends" daniel looks at me when he says this and i know why "and i have a girlfriend called alexia"

jonah looks at me, i think he's starting to make the connection, i mean LA, alexia, daniel, he's probably putting all the pieces together now

"do you guys know each other already? i mean these names all sound so familiar"

daniel looks at me and we hold the eye contact for a few seconds before daniel nods "yeah we do" he says and i look away

"where did you go? i have so many questions"

"i left LA, i just wanted a fresh start" i say and look back up at daniel, he looks as if he's reliving the day i left and i start to wonder what happened when i left

"what happened the day i left?" i ask quietly but loud enough for daniel to hear

"well christina found out you were gone first, she came to your apartment only to be told by an estate agent that you weren't living there anymore. that's when she tried to convince herself you just went to a different apartment, she called all of us asking if we knew anything about you changing apartments, of course, we didn't though. she then called the modelling agency and they told her you'd ended the contract with them, she then ran all the way to alexia's house"

anna came back and sat back down in her previous position and gave daniel the items he asked for

"wow" i said, i didn't want to have such an impact on them "they spent weeks trying to contact you, your number went dead and you weren't active on any social media's, we all then tried to find you, even zach was trying"
