"oh, look o...
jonah ran round the corner into the aisle that i am in, his shopping cart full of snacks
"i got the snacks!" he said and i laughed "i can see that, should we get coca-cola or pepsi?" i asked looking between the two drinks
"pepsi, it tastes better" jonah answered so i nodded and put it in the cart
we went and payed for our items and then went back to my dorm room

we were both sat on my bed with snacks on both of our laps, watching our first movie which was IT and let me say i'm already scared
i was watching it through my fingers so that if it got to a scary part i could just quickly close my fingers and then i wouldn't be able to see it
"oh come on jas it's not that scary!" jonah said laughing at me "yes it is! how are you even watching this?" i asked still covering my eyes
"it's not that scary jas" jonah said and i looked and him and raised my eyebrows "do you wanna watch something else?" jonah asked and i nodded
"okay you can choose" jonah said passing me the tv remote so i could choose something
i put on 'the kissing booth' and we both watched it, occasionally eating one of the many snacks
after it was done jonah stood up and stretched "my legs have gone dead" he said while laughing and shaking his legs about
"mine probably are too but i'm too comfortable to move" i said and picked up a piece of popcorn and ate it
"oh i forgot to ask you, did you hear the latest rumours?" jonah asked and i gave him a confused look
"no what are they now?" i asked "apparently there's a new person coming here in a few days, some guy who decided to transfer from another college in california" i thought about what jonah just said
"hmm wonder who it is, i mean if it's true that is" i say and stand up to start clearing up our mess "i don't know, i haven't heard anyone mention a name yet"
"okay well we'll just have to see whether someone does come then, maybe they'll come on monday?" i started rambling on about this new person because i was curious as to who it could be
once all of our mess was cleared up we both sat on our phones
"your from california aren't you?" jonah randomly asked "yeah why?"
"oh i was thinking about the new person again, maybe you'll know them?"
"i doubt it california is a big place" i say and smile
